As most residents know, there is a sign in front of the Draeger gas station north of town that says something about future site of Arby’s. I am looking forward to this. I think it’s good to have a variety of fast food stops in town. I was pretty upset when Taco Bell was closed and I am hoping that they will open up again somewhere in town. I would also love to get a Wendy’s! I heard rumors in the past about Taco Bell going into the old Kentucky Fried Chicken building, but, haven’t seen any progress on that, so I doubt that it was true. If anyone knows any different, let’s hear it!

“For the past few months the only time I’ve seen heavy equipment working around here, it has been leveling some of our desparate buildings.
So it is great to see the activity at Highway 45 and 64 where the Kwik Trip store is going up, and just across the street, the addition to the Drager Oil Co. store to house an Arby’s restaurant.
I’m told that Kentucky Fried Chicken/Taco Bell will be getting going in a pretty good fizz at North Avenue and Highway 45, too.
According to the report from the Common Council meeting in the Thursday edition of the Journal, the Merit Gear project is still a “go” and will be done in the spring.

In the Antigo Journal on 11/01/07 there was an ad about Arby’s hiring now. It says positions available for full and part time. You can get an application at 2120 Neva Road (next to Walgreens in the BP gas station) or you can apply online at: http://www.arbysostrowski.com
