Memory Lane Scrapbook & Stamp Shoppe
Well, looks like downtown Antigo will be more vacant soon, with Memory Lane closing their doors. How sad is that?
Memory Lane hasn’t been in business very long either. I thought scrapbooking was a pretty big deal nowadays? I have heard of a lot of people getting into that recently, so this is a surprise to me.
Looks like downtown Antigo will be a ghost town sooner than expected.
Note: The original post included info that Neve’s Furniture was also closing, but, apparently that was false information

Scrapbooking is huge around here however there are alot of women who sell independantly for private companies at way cheaper prices. I’m not picking on Memory Lane, I’m just saying in a small town like this if there are other places to buy the stuff at cheaper prices, a business won’t make it. There are alot of places selling it around here such as Walmart, JP Liquidators and AC Liquidators.
Just went into Mojo’s yesterday for the first time since they’ve moved, and at first I thought it was too big of a building for their store. After talking to the girl working there, apparently the empty part will become an indoor mini-golf course. Not a bad idea, considering our outdoor course is terrible.
It’s such a shame that Memory Lane is gone. It was a beautiful store and such a nice addition to the downtown area. I know the prices were higher in some cases, but they offered great services that you could NEVER get anywhere else. They also had VIP programs and things that made up for some costs if you were a really avid scrapbooker. I was rooting for them. I wish MoJo’s better luck. The indoor golf course sounds like fun. It’s great when people have fresh ideas and are willing to go for it! I didn’t even know there WAS an outdoor mini golf course!
A few weeks ago I heard from someone thet the Antigo Country Store was going to have a big sale and then close. While I was going through The Shopper today I saw an ad for the Country Store for a big sale. So I was just wondering if anyone besides me heard about the closing ?
I have heard that also. Include the fact that klassy k-9 moved to a new location, the rumor may be true.
Someone told me that the Northstar was closing! Rumor? I hope so!
Antigo country store is NOT closing. We do run sales like the July 4th blow out sale and close outs of items. In January we had a buy one get one free feed sale, but we still sell feed. Klassy K-9 did move, but for other reasons.
Old N Sven’s is CLOSED!!!!!! Now there’s a Closing!!!
We forgot to list Elite Chiropractic as a closed business. It’s so hard to keep up with failures around here.
Customer One CoOp’s insane and horrendous business practices will run the Country Store out of business. Their pricing policies are moronic and their sales demonstrate that. Their advertising budget is abysmal and their public perception demonstrates that. How many people even know the variety of products offered at the Country Store? I know far more people who have never set foot in there than those who have and that’s a shame. It is a beautiful store staffed by caring, hard working people. Too bad they’re getting the shaft from their management company out of Edgar.
NorthStar will be closing
Although not downtown, add AC Liquidator’s and the Irish Rail in Polar in the closed column.
In the ADJ yesterday, there is an ad that states the Irish Rail will be closed November 1st – 15th, and reopening on the 16th.
I had Gandma’s Corner for a year but had to close. Everyone wanted to buy at Rummage sale prices. And you can’t operated a store with out making a profit.l If you don’t have sales you cannot afford to pay rent. And people that lived in upstairs apartments take all the parking so customers had no place to park to shop. I think the worst part was people hogging the parking all day long.
