Langlade County Social Services Complaint
I am wondering how many others have had serious problems with Langlade County Social Services?
There are too many people there justifying their jobs by starting baseless “investigations” that lead nowhere. I know, I was one of many “victims” of this practice, and yet, even though they were informed that a foreign woman deserted her kids here, while they were still under 18, and left town with one of her many boyfriends.
We know this as fact, as we are related to this individual, and while it was reported many months ago, nothing has been done.
What is wrong with this town and the people? Lets get it together, and clean this show up !

Probably too many cases to keep up with. There’s alot of people in this town who shouldn’t be parents.
Yes, there are many people in this town that shouldn’t be parents. But my “beef” with Social Services is more about the moms that don’t work, go to school, or do much of anything but get everything. Single parents are given absolutely no reason to work. I have a friend that works but doesn’t make enough to pay her bills, but tries and gets very little help, though every bit counts. Then I have other friends who do nothing and get tons of food stamps and section 8 to help with rent. I understand that they are just letting people get by, but the girl that doesn’t work probably never will. Why should she when she’ll be afraid of losing her apartment every day because she can’t afford to live. Of course, she’s better off living off the state. Shouldn’t they be helping people that at least try to help themselves?

Does anyone know if there is a tip line or who to call in reporting people who are abusing the system?
I have a friend who is a single dad and was recently laid off. He qualifies for $24 a month in food stamps due to the amount of his unemployment(which is half of what he was making). He does not qualify for anything else, either. After paying his mortgage and electric bill he has $56/mo to live on.
Yet, I have another friend(I use that term loosely) who applied and received every assistance they offer(while she and her daughter lived with her boyfriend and his daughter. He made $60K+ a year) They broke up so she now lives with her parents, works two nights a week for cash and has money for new clothes, $120 trips to the salon and tattoos. She’s getting over $400 a month in food stamps alone!! Not to mention she’s got free insurance she takes full advantage of and is using a disability/unemployment insurance option to make her loan and credit card payments. She has no need to stand on her own two feet and be a contributing member of society, cause the state makes sure she lives comfortably not doing anything. Yet others who need help can’t get it because of some BS red tape.
I am so tired of going to work and giving Uncle Sam his share so that people who do nothing can live off the system and in many cases have a higher standard of living then the people who pay for the programs. Hell, maybe we should all quit our jobs, sit home with our kids and let the government foot the bill for our housing, food and medical care.
It is about time somebody steps up and starts too look into the facts of DSS here,the ppl who work there are a fricken joke,they came into my home on a complaint that my children were not safe and all they could find is that I had a basket of dirty laundry and the kids beds were not made and they tried too take my children out of my home….when in the hell did they get so much power>I think honestly that we need too step up and let them know that they are just like us and not these oh so powerful beings that they think they are!!!
And does everyone realize that most of the social workers who investigate reports do not even have children of their own? How in the hell can you judge how someone is taking care of their kids if you don’t even have any of your own?
well there must have been a reason of concern from someone if they investigated your situation. in fact i know there has to be or they wouldnt have been there. u will never know because who ever told them about u is left out of paper work due to confidentiality. hope u get your situation taken care of, but i look at it as at least someone cared enough. to many kids go through terrible situations and no one seems to want to help because they get have to get involved. i would and i do. our future depends on the kids.
Believe it or not, tinker and I agree on something. No one would call if there wasn’t something of concern to someone. Our kids are too important to not be vigilant on these sorts of matters, and he hit this one right on the head.
I generally try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I think you’re giving that particular anonymous tipster a touch too much credit. If someone doesn’t like you, or if you’ve stepped on their toes in some way, who’s to say they couldn’t call Social Services with a phony tip? It is absolutely not true that “no one” would call if there wasn’t something to be concerned about. There are plenty of vindictive people in this world, many of whom would do exactly that such thing to hit ‘em where it will really hurt. Unfortunate, but you can’t rule out that possibility.
i happen to know people who work for dss and their has to be pretty substantial situations to have your kids taken away, alot more than some dirty dishes and unmade beds. they have to see physical signs of abuse or neglect, common sense would tell u that dirty dishes and unmade beds r no concern for them to be taken away, if that were true mine would have been a long time ago. i hate doing dishes and making beds, but i dont abuse my kids. so regardless if someone is vindictive or not there must have been some other concern for this person to take the steps they did.
DSS’s job is to investigate complaints. Just like the police, they have to evaluate the information they get and decide whether or not to act and how much action to take. I’m sure if they are going far enough to take your kids, it is well deserved. You are probably forgetting to include a few facts and are in extreme denial if you think your kids were going to be taken simply because of a clothes basket with dirty laundry and unmade beds.
If DSS didn’t at least stop in and check on a complaint they wouldn’t be doing their job. Cooperate with them and if you have nothing to worry about they’ll probably be gone in a couple of minutes. They are more than welcome to stop at my place anytime to check on my kids.
sorry as*hole(tinker)but I have never and would never abuse my children…I have a copy of the report and it says dirty dishes and unmade beds.I will post it on here if I can figure out how too do it.this goes for you too ignorant…
well same to u neverserious, but like i said they r not going to take your kids away for JUST those things. more likely that the allegations towards u r for something more serious. and unless dirty dishes means weeks of nasty,crusty stuff smelling and molding maybe and unmade beds to be soiled or with no sheets or blankets maybe. i would hope that if one could not afford those things to get assistance or go garage saleing. and just so u know im not in any way saying this about u just making a statement. so b 4 u call someone names maybe that is a reason to have your household looked at. im just going off of what u have stated and i know the system a little better than that!!!!!!!!
So, mostly harmless and neverserious are the same person trying to post under different names? Oops, you made a mistake there. As for tinker, although I disagree with him/her, and often pretty fervently, tinker is correct. There has to be something more out there to take kids away so instead of getting on here and casting your anger anyone else’s way, get off your computer and take care of your kids.

i just want people to know that in bigger cities children arent being taken care of. recently there was a child killed by his mother and social services did nothing about this and in my eyes they r guilty for the neglect that this childs family was trying to seek for him. mostly harmless or never serious i dont care who u r but your name gives me an idea but that is my opinion. i just hope your kids r getting the care they deserve, because too many out there dont.
my kids are well taken care of,as for calling you names I am sorry,I was not here when they came I had a babysitter here so am not sure of what the whole situation was…As far as I know from what the report said I told you all that…I take very good care of my kids they are healthy and have what they need…as far as me having two different names on here..no I only go by this one..my friend was on here and I forgot too change the name sue me I made a mistake…as for the babysitter needless too say she is not around here anymore…but yes my kids are happy healthy and well taken care of..I can afford all the mentioned in the above the statement.I don’t need too go on assistance or go garage saling I am a nurse therefore work many hours I am ashamed that I had a sitter that was not taking proper care of my kids but up until all of this there was no sign that something was going on as my house is always clean when I get home so again I am sorry for the name calling please accept my apology.
What’s wrong with garage sales? I buy most of my daughter’s stuff at garage sales or the consignment store since kids clothes are so darn expensive and she only wears them for a few months?
I didn’t say that social services would take a child away from a parent just because someone made an anonymous tip out of spite. I said that social services would be required to investigate the tip and complete a report. Thank you.
When a child is found abondoned, abused or, god forbid, dead, the first questions are why didn’t someone do anything? Why weren’t they reported? Where is Social Services??
I understand how scary, how frustrating and how anger invoking, someone coming into your home and questioning you can be. I do not think that Social Services should be able to come in and threaten and intimidate people, especially concerning their children, but where do we draw the line?? How do we ask Social Services to decide which calls are made out of spite vs a call made out of concern?? How does one decide what complaint warrents an investigation or a visit and which ones don’t?
I would like to touch on the part about people who are abusing the system. I happen to know of a family in Antigo that is really abusing the system and has for years. For many years, when the rent comes due and the money isn’t there, there has always been some kind of charity fund to help. When it comes to heating and energy assistance, they are there with their hands out yearly. Food stamps? you bet!! Why not? “If I get a job, then I will lose my food stamps!” How about medical care. Well, there is only one income, and that employer offers less than 80/20 co pay on insurance, so the state allows badger care for the mother and children for free. This is also being taken advantage of. How about the local church commodity? Absolutely. No problem. now, why is all of this soo wrong?Because for one, the energy assistance is for people who need the heat. Not for people who decide that since they have the assistance, they can afford to crack the windows in the house all the time. Why crack the windows? Well for fresh air from the cigarette smoke. Yep, thats right, all this assistance, and people are smoking, not to mention the health of the children, which in turn has resulted in uncountable trips to the doctors for bad colds, asthma, bronchitis and expensive breathing machines that are free to people with medicle cards, and in turn we are paying for also. Then there’s the fact that there is soo much waste of food, and by the way, it’s not getting cheaper, so lets just have our kids eat what we make instead of throwing it away and making something else. Oh, and not to mention the yearly trip to the casino to gamble. Well, there is soo much more, but, as far as I can tell, too many people are getting away with this welfare, and need to get off there buts and get to work, not have every one else work for them to live. If any one else knows of any cases like this, please feel free to elaborate. I happen to know the family that is like this, but because of my job, I can not say what I do, or who the family is.
well u can always report them and see where it goes at least then u tried to help as much as u can.
I know there is a hotline/tip line to call for those who are abusing Social Security/Disability. Is there one for our local and state programs??
If not, does anyone know who to talk to to try to put one in place???
you can always call social services and talk to one of the agents that work there. u can either tell them who u r or keep it confidential.
I drive through Antigo on a frequent basis and I cringe when I see all the wasted money that the government is throwing away on useless ,lazy slugs. If someone is smart enough to do odd jobs and work on cars, then they should be able to work. The reason for SSI/disability is great – but it is overly abused by lazy, cigarette smoking, drug addicted slugs! How hard is it to pick up trash on the side of the road? Make the lazy slugs go do that for eight hours a day, I bet things would change in a hurry. Make them clean graffiti off the play equipment off the play equipment at the park.
For one, if the people who claim they are disabled – they should be given random drug tests and they should not be allowed to smoke. Because guess who gets to pay for all the medical services when they are ill (most of them only go to the ER – because their lives are too busy to go to a real doctor)? The tax payers do. I am sick and tired of watching my tax dollars go to Slugs. They don’t give two hoots if gas goes up, if groceries skyrocket… They get raises on a frequent basis. What happens if the company I work for has a bad year – NO RAISE? And WPS wouldn’t think twice about cutting my services off. Can they do that to a Slug? Nope.
It’s such a sad shame when the elderly cannot afford to live in their homes because the taxes have gotten so out of control – and those people worked all their lives. But yet the welfare people can own homes, have their house set at 75 degrees in winter, have cars (not the nicest cars, but they drive), free food, free healthcare (which is so abused), free medication. Shouldn’t we take care of the people who took care of us before we take care of the lazy Slugs who take advantage of society?
Go to the fair. You will see just how many “disabled” people take part in the events. It amazes me that no one besides me gets steamed over this.
I will go a little further and say if a “slug” is able spend much of their day maintaining an immaculate myspace page, and use vocabulary above a 7th grade level they should be able to work. If you can design a fancy personal web page you should be able to work. Some “Slugs” can sit in internet chat rooms 5 hours a day. Why can’t “slugs” watch security cameras all day at home.
I agree there are “Slugs” who have the ability to modify a tractor for the tractor pull, modify a car for the Demolition Derby, and find sponsors. So that tells me they can be a mechanic and have the ability to do sales and marketing. If they “Win”.. They win cash. If a “slug” wins do they report the income?
I agree Gussy, there are just waaay too many slugs that we are all paying for. And yes, why cant the ones that are on the net every day get a job doing some thing in that field? I have heard it be said that, I would go to school, but I dont have any money. But I can go to school because I can get it all paid for because I have kids, and am poor. Well, If any one understood, it takes money to make money. Why should we, the taxpayers, pay for some one else to better themselves. Its a wonder that people like this even have the energy to get out of the house and attend school, not to mention what kind of life style they are portraying for their kids. I jusat can not beleive the attitudes of some that the world owes them. ITS TIME TO GET OFF YOUR LAZY BUTTS AND MAKE SOME THING OF YOUR SELVES.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who is fed up with all the “slugs” abusing the system and getting a free ride while all those who pay for those programs get the shaft!
As families struggle to make ends meet, it irks me to see slugs live better than the working families. They are too lazy to get out of bed during business hours to go to the clinic, so they instead flood the ER with silly complaints that most of the time a simple Tylenol would solve the problem… Or maybe if you quit smoking you foolish slug, you wouldn’t be coughing and hacking up slugs (oops I mean lungs). But why go to the store and buy over the counter medication and pay money out of your welfare check, when you can go to the doctor and get free medicine? They would think twice if they had to pay a co-pay like most working families have to. But then again, how many of them would pay it? How about deduct it right out of their welfare check.
Its absurd how any benefits are out there if you “play the system” like most slugs do. Wouldn’t it be nice get reimbursed to go to a specialist out of state? Stay at a hotel for free, free food, free gas? I’m not saying that they shouldn’t be allowed to, but there should be some limitations. I can’t go for free, I have to take a day off work, pay for the hotel, pay for the gas, and pay for the food…. Yes, flexible spending accounts do cover these expenses, but it’s not free money, it comes out of my paycheck.
Don’t get me started on their children. I have heard parent-slugs claim their child is hyperactive and then get the free medicine and turn around and either A. Take it themselves or B. Sell it for a profit. What about the mom-slugs who claim they don’t breastfeed and then receive formula through WIC, and then they turn around and sell it to make a profit? I feel terrible for their children having to grow up like that.
Why aren’t drug tests enforced? Most companies make their employees undergo random drug-testing. I’m paying for the slugs anyway, I would have no problem paying for the drug test (I’m already paying for their drugs – so why not fork out a little more for a drug test) If they fail the drug test, give a warning… One warning!! Then if the drug test is repeated, they are cut-off. Take their kids away if they have any. And make them get job cleaning port potties or go to jail.
I’m really glad that I am not the only one who feels that the way things are being done is immoral. How about starting a non-profit group (paid for by the government of course lol) and call it Slug-Busters. Heck, maybe we could even commission one of the slugs to create a MySpace page for us.
Another problem is there is no incentive for “slugs” to work. Congress approved raising minimum wage. But most requirements for various assistance programs never changed. Many famillies who are making minimum wage will no longer meet the criteria for housing assistance, energy assistance, food stamps, Badger care, or any other form of help. Shouldn’t we treat people who make an attempt to work better than people who don’t work at all? Its like Congress gave an extra $10.00 a week but took $25.00 away.
Then you have “high class slugs”.. The people who have $80,000, $100,000 and $150,000 a year incomes and are losing everything because they maxed out their credit. From the stats I see the average cost of living increases from fuel, energy, groceries add up to about $300 a month for a family of four. That’s a lot of money for someone making $8.00 an hour. But for a $100,000 a year income that is only a 3 or 4% increase.
Technically to continue living the same lifestyle all a higher income family needed to do was lower 401K contributions 3 or 4%. But now we learn the majority of these people refused to save for retirement.
But we are suppose to bail them out with our money because they couldn’t manage money… They want us to pay for the house which was three times more than they could afford, 2 brand new SUV’s, 2 new Snowmobiles, 2 new 4 wheelers, 3 big screen Plasma TV’s, and new furniture in every room. We have to bail them out despite they continue to make a six figure a year household income, and continue to watch that Big Screen Plasma TV with every premimum cable channel still connected.
Sure, why should US citizens see any benefit from our tax dollars. Afterall, aren’t all those dollars better spent in Iraq? Or bailing out corporate giants because they couldn’t manage money either? Don’t think any of us have enough fingers to point out all those feeding from the “slug” trough.

I am a lower to middle class person, and I don’t get any help from anybody. Everything I have I worked for and when I couldn’t afford it I went without or took on extra work. It sickens me to see all these people getting a free ride.
I have no sympathy for those in the housing crash. I’ve been told that “Buying a home is the single most important financial decision you will ever make”. Yet thousands of people when into the home buying process uninformed, or so they say. I know that when I make a decision, I take the time and responsibility to find out everything I can, beforehand. I sure as hell don’t sign up for something that I damn well know I can’t afford and cry to anyone who listens when it turns bad. With all the programs and all the lending options out there, if you can’t qualify for a standard mortgage, you shouldn’t be buying a home.
Furthermore, and I am sure I will anger some when I say this, if you can not physically, mentally and financially care for yourself, you sure as hell should not be having children. I know too many people who can’t take care of themselves yet are going through great lengths to have children. The women who has never held a job and gave birth to two children by two “dead-beat dads” has a very nice home, and everything imaginable for her kids from food to healthcare but can’t get out of bed to put her kids on a bus for school. But she can get up three days a week to drive to Wausau to the meth clinic…the couple who went to the fertility clinic to concieve, while her husband sat at home trying to collect from Workers Comp and SSI/disability( a bogas claim I might add). They have since split and he’s still not working, which means no child support. Their daughter and by association the primary caregiver, gets help with rent, heat, utilites, food, daycare, etc., etc. So now, they are all a drain on society. Nice…Thanks so much… You’re so wrapped up in your need to have a child that you never bothered to figure out how you were going to support them and yourselves!!???!! But then again, why would you. the minute your pregnant you qualify for just about every assistance program there is.
I know these programs where created to help those who were in a bad spot, but it’s time for a overhaul. To many people collect a hand-out instead of getting a hand-up. It’s no wonder the state of the country is so bad…hard to contribute to society when your sucking off it. I think a better term is “leeches”.

Many of you are all sooo right. I work a full time job, my wife works full time. We own our own house, and we don’t get any help with any thing. I take on extra hours at work to try and save extra money to pay the heat bill in the winter. I totally understand if some one needs a one time help, but year after year, month after month is not a good thing, and thats what we are all talking about here right now. The constant money hungry, lazy sluggs that refuse to work because they know the system will let them slide by. And yes, it is true that many of these people life better and higher class lives than I do. I also consider us as lower class. We litterally have no money left at the end of the month. But, our bills get paid, and we are alive. I do not get any benefits from my job, so, I am thankful and happy to take an appointment as opposed to running to the emergency ward every time i get a hang nail. I bet if some of these “SLUGGS” were exposed to society, they would think twice about the way that they are being. And yes, What is this teaching our children? they are growing up learning that its ok to screw the system, and to heck with the rest of the world, because the world owes me. The world does not owe anyone any thing. We have all been brought into this world with the ability to make some thing of ourselves. Sluggs disgust me.

I will save the Corporate bailouts, Iraq war for another thread. But, The housing bail out was quite wierd. Some strange stuff was hidden in there.
1. Raising National Debt Limit
2. All credit card transactions will be reported to the IRS
3. All people in the mortgage business will be fingerprinted and put in FBI Database.
4. As I interpeted the Bill, Ginny May and Freddy Mac now have credit with an unlimited limit.
5. Ginny May and Freddy Mac can still make political contributions.

THE JOB – URINE TEST
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and
the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that
paycheck,I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no
problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to
people who don’t have to pass a urine test.
Shouldn’t one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I
have to pass one to earn it for them? Understand, I have no problem with
helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a
problem with helping someone sitting on their butt, doing drugs, while I
work. . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had
to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check? Pass this along if
you agree or simply delete if you don’t.
Hope you all will pass it along, though . . Something has to change in
this country — and soon.
If all of you guys would complain to your state congressman they do get things done. I know for a fact because we had to and they jumped right in the middle of the dss’s lap. They stood at attention and we even got a call from the big shot there. Yes antigo is awful for keeping people on the roll but we also need to speak up. Too many people are just willing to sit on their duffs and not make our congressman earn his high bucks.
What do y’all think about the little kids found wandering the Graham Ave/Hwy 45 area in October? & now a week or so ago the same thing occurred. My daughter saw them on her way to the bank & was horrified. These kids are being raised in a 2 parent alcoholic home. In both of these instances, the police had to wake the “adults” up out of a deep sleep. According to the court site, these are the 4th charges against them! When is Judge Kowalski gonna take these babies away for good? The father in question is a 31 or so man who use to be such a nice kid. He was raised by his mom after his father died. He went to AHS & was on the hockey team. I knew his mom & she was so proud of him. When he reached 18, he got money from the tribe because of being of a local tribe. That, as I see it, was his downfall. His 1st child was with a young woman & when seen together eating, they would not feed the child. I do not know what happened to that little girl. The one he is with now is of his same heritage & only 27 years old & cannot stay sober to take care of the kids.
Her name is Alicia. Thinking back that many years ago, I remembered a couple of neighbor kids who would come over to play with my 2 girls. One time, the girl came over with this 5 or 6 month old baby,who was naked except for a diaper, dirty face & hair & a saggy,wet & dirty diaper. She said it was her 16 year old cousins little girl & the baby’s name was Alicia. I took the baby from her & took her into my home, scrubbed & bathed her, gave her a fresh diaper, did the best I could with the awful open sores caused by the neglected diaper & fed her GOOD food.I hated parting with the child knowing she was going back to where she had been getting no care, but I never forgot little Alicia. Alicia is now the parent in the paper taking care of her kids just as her mother took care of Alicia. Alicia’s mother went on to have at least 5 more kids & I have no doubt they only knew the same kind of neglect that Alicia had known. Alicia’s sister was arrested with her in this latest case as some of the children wandering the streets half clothed were her’s too. Her age was stated at only 22. Just goes to show that the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Kids learn what they live.I am pleading with Judge Kowalski….Please rescue these kids permanently!
its not just the judge, how about Uttke getting in and actually doing his job. He’s the one who pleads these people down and how much help do they actually get that they r supposed to get. I think alot has to change for the children. Too bad their isn’t someone else in the family who is reponsible who could care for them.
I have a question to pose because I am interested in the answers. First of all let me state I am biased in this case because I came up through the system many of you speak of. After my parents divorced my mother did indeed need a hand up and sought help through social programs while working full time to raise three kids alone. Anyway, how do we weed out the slugs? I ask because I remember for every dollar my mother earned, they took one away from her check from AFDC. She never could get ahead because it was always a status quo. I often thought that one of the improvements to be made to the program was that she be allowed to continue full AFDC checks for one year while working fulltime (which would allow her to get past bills paid up and get a little into the savings account for future expenses). At the end of a year, start the dollar for dollar thing and titrate back yearly until she was only receiving the child support which was being paid by my father and she would be back on her feet for the most part. But I digress, my real question is, how do we weed out the slugs versus the person just trying to get through tough times? I ask because I think we are about to see more families in tough times and I don’t want them being called slugs much like my mom was. Maybe the system has changed since then; my situation was a long time ago. Is there a slug test?
going through tough times and neglect are completely different things. i understand what u r saying but i dont think that is compares to the things that these children have had to endure. the parents are alcoholics who cannot take care of them properly. that is self induced, not the same as earning a good income and being able to provide for your family.
Want to solve your budget deficit problem, eliminate DSS as we know it, revamp it to provide forthe truly needy and get rid of 50% of the staff! Cloaked in secrecy for confidentiality no one has access to the real needs of individuals and given the current economy handouts need to be eliminated. Take a job at McD’s if you need help, there are plenty of jobs out there…they may not pay what you THINK you are worth, but if you need money WORK for it! Protection for CHILDREN is necessary but why do we pay parents to protect children they cannot afford to raise. Close your reproduction if you can’t afford to support them. If you cannot afford to support your children, give them to loving parents who can. Don’t expect a handout because you got wasted, had sex, got pregnant found out how much money you can get through handouts, and repeat the cycle over and over and over again. Being supported by those taxpayers who do have jobs and pay taxes!
both of my parents were drunks my dad died because of it…by your thoughts i should have married a drunk and be one myself… i work 40 plus hrs a week my husband avg.50. i dont drink but once in a great while my husband has a beer after work. i too know that the system can hold you down but you have to want to change to get ahead. i was on afdc once i got over 400 a month in afdc 300 in food stamp my wic i paid 74 a month for rent that had all but 20 a month i had to pay for heat when we got married my husband made 800 a month but we work got off of the system a year later we bought our house
You are a rare case…I congratulate you for using the system for which it was intended…but many many many people do NOT use the system for which it was intended….I know of an individual who received $11K for her tax refund…is in the system…and is using the money for a Hawaii vacation….damn I would like to take MY tax refund to do that!
The same people got busted again this morning @5:30 letting their little ones run the streets because they were passed out. What has to happen to these poor kids before officals wake up and do something…..
thank god we spent thousands of dollars trying to rehabilitate the parents so they can get their children back and live like a happy Antigo family should! If we didn’t have all these silly liberal programs, that waste our taxpayer money, they probably would have been in jail long ago and the kids living somewhere where they might have a chance in life!
What a shame that children have to grow up with those type of people as role models. What is wrong with social services? They keep letting the kids go back to that?
And ignorant… Yes, I totally agree. Our tax dollars are put to good use. I didn’t get a raise this year, but thank goodness the slugs of society are getting one. Wouldn’t it be nice to get a nice 14% increase in your grocery budget, and health care that you could only dream to have?
One other note… I love the fact that these people who take advantage of our money also get a tax refund. 11K??? Maybe next vacation I should take a trip out to California and get inseminated with 15 children, get divorced, and of course quit my job. Then maybe I’d have enough to go to Hawaii for a month or two (while my nanny-paid-for-by-the-government stays at home and takes care of all 15 of my kids. Sounds nice.
there is a couple of comments on here that say there has to be a reason for them to come and investigate…….NO THERE DOES NOT…..they have to investigate every report no matter how crazy it sounds………..I do agree that they (the social workers) try to play god………..and most of the time they are meddling where they don’t belong and I think they should spend their time better by investigating and saving kids that really need it………and u r correct most of them don’t even have children of their own and haven’t spent any substantial time with children reading files on their desk doesn’t count…….my friend had a honest complaint against her kids fathers girlfriend for abusing her kids while they were visiting their father and social services blew it off like it was nothing…….them kids clung to me and my friend and begged us not to make them go to their dads cause of his girlfriend hurting them and the social worker said she had to send them………and that was after talking to the kids and them telling her all the mean things that their dads girlfriend did to them……she kicked them in the legs and when questioned told the social worker that they were just playing karate…….and the sad thing is the social worker believed her BS and did nothing……….I have very little faith in social workers……..I drive an hour each way to my job and I bust my a** at work and being in customer service can be rough at times….I am a cashier and we r the last person the customers sees before leaving the store and when the have had a bad experience we hear it believe me……….so I sympathize with the working folks out there about supporting ones who won’t work…….I have no problem helping people that are willing to help themselves or are trying as hard as they can and still need help……but the ones who sit on their butts cause they choose to really tick me off……I have arthritis in both my knees and my hip and by the end of a shift I am hurting so bad that I am almost in tears but I do it anyway to benefit my children……….If u can’t work due to a handicap fine I understand If u won’t work due to laziness I have no sympathy for u…….GET OFF YOUR AS*ES AND GET A JOB………….
Well i have alot to say here.. Well Social Services is just like the Child support, They help who they want and don’t care that you are living with nothing. besides what u can get. I worked 14 yrs. became disabled and can’t work. Well Child support won’t help me so I get nothing for help there they must be afraid to tell him he has to pay or what. But I’m getting sick of this I call and noone will call me back.. All i have to say if I could work i would cause than i wouldn’t have to sit here and wait for my check to come from Disablity.. and it’s nothing it don’t pay all my bills and I don’t get No help from social services cause I have the wrong last name or I just look to well dressed or something So me and my son sit here with hardly any food, and he is 2 yrs. old has no diapers so i have to put him on the potty all the time and than that don’t work at all.. All I’m saying they should worry about getting these Dead Beat Dads to pay and also Social services all they do is sit in there offices and tell you how its going to be or else they don’t help you at all.
Well this town and ppl. that work at Child support and Social Services if it was you’s being treated like crap and not getting support oh believe me you’s would be having a cow living off nothing.. you’s would have the FBI out helping you’s…. So get off your butts and Help people get support do your jobs if your not than close the dam place down cause you’s aren’t doing your Jobs than…..
Well I sit here waiting for the Dead Beat so called Dad to pay child support. Child support people do nothing to help at all. they say they will call you back and they don’t, if they aren’t going to make these Dead beats pay than they should make them sign off the child for good. cause these Dead beats don’t pay so why should they have anything to do with the child at all. my child dead beat don’t have nothing to do with him but he shouldn’t have no rights to him as long as he lives. I’m disabled not by chose either, I worked 14 yrs. real hard and Loved my job till one day everything changed for me. I don’t get no help from anyone cause I’m that person if you really need the help go and get it. but I’m hardly making ends meet here and I get No help and don’t plan on it.. I don’t get that much for being on disability cause that is how it works with them too. But i get by on what i get I have a son and he needs things but i get him what he needs and just leave me get by on nothing. I don’t trust or believe people at social services that they can help No cause all they do is try to take children away from you, cause ppl. call and say stuff that isn’t true. I don’t and never will beat my kids, but yes I have them come at least once a month cause my sons so called dead beat dad calls and says things that aren’t true, I sit and tell social services they need to look at ppl. that are really beatting the kids and stay away from here, They don’t come to my home cause i won’t let them I go to them and than i let it all out at there office I tell them how things are, cause when they come to the home yes they can do and say what they want if you go in than you have more control over them all. All I have to say is we all have the wrong last names to get any help from both places, you haveto have a name that they sit and help. that is just like the police they help people that they want too other than that everyone else is crap and get everything put on them. the next person don’t get nothing cause of the name and who you are.. This whole town sucks because they help who they want don’t care about the next person at all… I know alot of people that got so much help from all of them that it makes me sick.. I’m so done with all those places they can all go to …., cause one day i hope they find themselfs out on the streets looking for a place to live and food, and money…..than they can be with all those dead beat dads and low life ppl. that live in these apartments and get everything given to them. I have my own place and I’m glad i have a place to call home, but still why can’t we get the help like those other ppl. is it cause i own my own home or what I’m not living in those run down apartments that are crap, and have to live so close to ppl. that won’t go and get a job. they are able to work so go and get a job.. If i could of stayed working i would of but my doctor said No way, and i have to pay out of my pocket to pay all doctor bill’s and my sons and I’m not behind on paying them either. all my bills get payed they meant not be payed on time but they get payed.. those people don’t know how to pay for all those bill’s like we all have. never will know how cause they get help for all bill’s.. and that is sad and sick…
