My son Jordyn Alexander Menting was born in Langlade county, Wisconsin on February 2nd 2010. When he was about 8 months old I separated with his mother after she called the police on me for what she called "violent" behavior. I returned home after helping another family member with his family issues. The house was a disaster and she was about to leave and not let me see my son until I had cleaned the house. I refused to let her take my only son because it is my right to see him. I picked him up from his playpen and sat down on the couch to play with him as she packed up to leave. The police officer arrived to witness the apartment in it's current state and wrote up his report. The next morning a social worker from the Langlade County Human and Family Services was there, packing up my son's and step-daughter's things rushing them to get out. Because my wife had told her she was in "fear for her safety." I yet again took action and sat down on the couch and played with my son. She could not remove him without a court order or cause. I had done nothing wrong and there was no proof of anything that was being said. Needless to say they all left, I got to keep my son on the stipulation that I sign a temporary protection order. I did, and I moved out of the apartment the next day and moved in to my grandmother's house just across town. I lived there for the next couple of months, they came by with a CHIPS petition, which I also signed because my family had insisted that it would not last long nor cause any harm. I decided to visit my family in Waukesha, WI for the holidays in 2010, I had let both the department know well ahead of time, and the county Judge know the day before. I was clear. Everything was fine until I receive a call at 8pm, the night of December 20th, 2010, informing me I had court the next morning. This is not proper notice, and they had all the information to give proper notice. Regardless I tried to attend over the phone. I had stepped outside for a moment, but had forgotten my brother's keys for the door, as he had a locked lobby. I had missed my surprise court due to a mistake on my part. The social worker claimed that I had called sometime earlier and claimed "I have moved down here, and there is nothing you can do about it." I asked for the message to be played in court, for if it was submitted as evidence I have the right to hear it. It was never played in any of the sessions I have had thus far. Regardless of all that, my son was taken not 2 hours later, and put into 2 different homes of strangers before reaching Antigo, WI where he was placed with a relative of my wife's. I have been battling to get him back ever since and now they are claiming that he has some form of "childhood PTSD" that was caused in the home before he was taken from me, due to leaving him cry for more than 7 seconds. It is absurd, I have done my research on the subject and I have found what most people will also find. IF my boy does have this condition, it was brought forth after they had torn him from my loving arms the Tuesday, before his very first Christmas. Because of this I have had to endure missing everything a father should never miss, IE: First Christmas, First Birthday, First Step. The pain is almost unbearable but I will never give up on my son, because he will never give up on me. Please contact me for more information regarding the case or with any questions you might have. But I got help from social services yrs. ago & guess what people I didn't stay on any of that stuff that long just a month But guess what I was job hunting like crazy because I wanted to better myself for my children & I did it I found a job & worked everyday from 7am to 9 pm came home at 3pm got ready for my second job & worked till 9pm sometimes later.. I didn't sit & say oh there are No jobs I worked whatever job hired me it was money & it payed my bills... & put food on the table & whatever else we needed... but than I stopped working my second job & worked my day job from 7am to 10pm everyday & still made a go of it with 2 children.. But than one day my whole life changed in front of my eyes after working 14 yrs. making great pay I had a lump on my neck & the doctor took it out & cut all my nerves to my arm & neck & than my disc in my back was acting up where I couldn't hardly walk.. my left arm I couldn't feel a thing in it at all & my neck.. But I woke up and said This isn't going to stop me I have 2 kids to support I went to work & did whatever I had to do.. I worked on a Potatoe farm & I was full time. I just keeped doing what I had to do & my back was in so much pain & my arm & neck but this didn't stop me from working I also worked with a cracked ribs,sprained angle, crushed foot, & I got hurt at work with stuff too But Nothing stopped me.. Because I didn't want to live on social services help.. But than one day I was driving home & I lost all my feeling in my legs so I went to the doctor & he told me I messed up my back big time that he was taken me off of all work.. I sat here & cryed because I wanted to stay working but I couldn't if I wanted to stay walking I had to listen to my Doctor.. So if you can work get up and work & get out & look for a job because you just don't know when it can all be taken away from you.. I don't take pills for my pain I put up with all pain everyday... Also I don't get help from social services because I had money saved from my jobs that I put away & I'm living off that.. I can't sit long in a chair or stand long my left arm I can't use it at all cause I have No feeling in it at all... So like I say I pray to God I have my life & my children.. my children have there own lifes but they still come home to see how there mom is doing.. I have a home that I keep up on my own everyday... Gosh so stop living off this stuff that social services gives you's & Work where ever you can alot of jobs out there you just have to go and look...... Amen...................
