Antigo Walmart Complaint

I gotta vent about the joke that someone has decided to play of the people of Antigo. The management of the Walmart here should be sent on their merry way. I am not talking about the senseless reconfiguring of the store, I am talking about the reasoning of having 14 checkout lanes at a store, and only 5 are open. Rumor has it, even from employees there is that the manager gets quite the bonus for running the store as efficient as possible – but this is ridiculous!!!!!!

I hope that who ever is making the decisions on how the store is run reads this. Do us all a favor and resign!!!!!!!!! There is absolutely nothing convenient about the Walmart now.

14 lanes…..why don’t you get them open, hell you already shortened the hours, so make it right.

“HEY CATHY I AIN’T KISS A… BUT UR DUMB SKANK. UR ONE OF THOSE WINING PART TIMERS ARN’T U SO SHUT THE HELL UP THAT’S RETAIL. BUT THIS WALMART HAS TO MANY OLD PEOPLE WORKING AT IT AND THEY CAN’T PRODUCE LIKE THE REST OF US. AND IT EFFECTS EVERY ONE I’M TO OLD TO PUSH CARTS I’M TO OLD TO THROW DOG FOOD. WELL U SIGHNED THE DAM PAPER SAYING U CAN DO THE JOB SO DO IT OR GET THE HELL OUT. GET RID OF OLD AND BRING IN THE KNEW.”

First off..xxx your comments are a waste of space… seriously i cant wait till your old and don’t have enough money to live, Your utter disrespect for the elderly is disgusting. Also if you think Wal-Mart is the best job in Antigo good luck becoming old and trying to live on your wal-mart job, and if you “call it how you see it” that generally does means your a bad person and people don’t like you so nice try.

Wal-Mart is the worst store in this country, they kill our local stores and with there Great Value brand they are taking over all the other types of produce and products. Soon Wal-Mart will take over this town and everything will turn into the generic brand Great Value. Wal-Mart is a bad store and I hope people will see this before they kill our local businesses.

Ok I don’t work at Wal Mart like most of you but I do shop there alot and have read all the comments about manager Lori,I can not stand her…I was there awhile ago and tried too ask her where something was located and was told too read the signs.Plus when I come in there during the summer I find it very gross and unprofessional that she can wear skirts so shirt,I will be making a complaint too corp.about her.

  3. Just a girl says:

I was in Walmart last night and the store was pcaked! there were only 4 registers open and while I was walking through the aisles I saw the employees of Walmart standing around talking to each other as if they were on break! If it’s such a big deal then hire those of us that need, want and are willing to work! Walmart needs to get it together.

  4. uradchbg says:

    well as i sit here and read this i really wonder why alot of people work there are still there..it seems the quote at wallmart shout be less is more the less you do the higher pay you get i have never seen such lazy people in one place i really cant mention any name because it really would take too long but as we all know $hit rolls down hill and builds up more as it goes take for instance store manager lori wow we all really need her job never there and makes so much money its no wonder everyone wants the job she does alot less than anyone and gets paid more then you got the wannabes in ties and dress shirts who walk around walmart with clipboards in one hand and other hand in pocket always see them walking around but never doing nothing and push the work off down hill then you got the low end people the ones in blue shirts and tan pants if 90% of them would do as much work as they did suck a$$ to people above them walmart would be a great place to shop then you have the csm’s in front they really need to change their labels to wall holders 9 or 10 of them hold up the walls very well as they watch lines build up to 10-15 deep and if the assis. mgr’s would spend more time seeing what really goes on with the worker and do their job the right people would be working there and the a$$ kissers would be gone {edited}

  5. cathy says:

On November 11 of this year I wrote a blog on my Christmas Wishes for store manager Lori. While I feel I hit the nail on the head, I wonder why it is close to the last of the “Older Comments”. I ask everyone to go to the older comments and read it and the one after it.

Oh by the way, I was in the store last week and rumor has it FIVE people were let go last week.

I just want to tell everyone to apply for unemployment. If you get denied appeal it! UNEMPLOYMENT WILL LISTEN TO YOUR CASE. Only go into the facts of what went down when you lost your job. Don’t go into months of problems at work that stressed you out. Only state what happened when you lost your job. An attorney will give you the same advise.

I wonder how BIG store manager Lori’s BONUS will be for all her GOOD WORKS!!! I was told bonuses are coming soon.

  6. cathy says:

    to uradchbg,

Thank you for the good reading. Another source of good information on Wal Mart is the documentary Wal Mart the High Cost of Low Prices. You can rent it from the library. It is a real eye opener.

  7. velocipurple says:

    WalMart is a demon and people are so myopic they can’t see the forest from the trees! Go by all means, spend your money and then b*tch about the economy and the woes of trade balance. Where do you think WalMart gets all their SH*T? HMMMMMMM……. {EDITED}

  8. Killin Me says:

The biggest joke ive seen at walmart being a former worker in the TLE(Tire Lube Express) When the workers there bust their a$$’$ for a few hrs. with constant cars, you never see a member of the store managment, but soon as all the cars leave the shop.Everyone decides to take a breather for couple mins. a member of managment shows up and yells at them for standing around like they did nothing all day.

  9. Amanda (produce) says:

For people that work at wal-mart and look at this site. I just want to clarify something for you so i do not have to hear the rumors every damn time i walk into the store.I didn’t get fired. I didn’t have management walk me out. I quit. If you seen someone walking out with me that’s because i asked him to. Instead of spreading all the rumors why not just ask my family that works there you all know who they are.

  10. Lori says:

I waited too comment until all the whiners were done with their b*tching and griping.
I AM SORRY FOR ALL THE ROTTEN THINGS I HAVE DONE TO EVERYONE AT THE ANTIGO STORE AS WELL AS THE 2 PREVIOUS GREEN BAY STORES! NOT!!
    I love screwing people over!

  11. moving forward says:

I do like the money a person can save at walmart, but if it takes 45 min to get just a few things it becomes more of a hassle than what its worth.

  12. WOW says:

i love this wow wal mart has changed alot no 24 hour it used to be for food stamps they would come in around 2am n wed go shopping look forward to tht every month!
They do not sell plastic canvas anymore? most ppl use it! The workers are sometimes rude! it used to be a supercenter now its bullcrap

  13. Sherry says:

If that is the real Lori the store manager who commented on this blog, shame on you…bet YOU got a Xmas bonus whereas the rest of the employees didn’t this year.

  14. obviously smarter then the average says:

use your brain! im sure that wasnt the REALY LORI! lmfao

  15. widow says:

I love shopping at Walmart, but I, too, have a complaint.

I live quite a distance from the store, and do not drive. When I go shopping one of my children take me. Sometimes there is something I need to have but do not want someone to drive to a store to find the item is not available, so I call ahead. Walmart is the ONLY store in this town that the department heads do not answer the phone.(except for electronics) Forget about calling the meat department. If you call Copps and ask for deli or any other department, bingo the phone is answered. The same goes for Fleet Farm and Menards. It is my opinion that Walmart is way understaffed or is poorly managed.

  16. Badger red says:

Wow are you two kidding me? She’s never treated me anything other than great. Love going there -great pizza and other food.

  17. Randy says:

I hear ya Killin Me. I’ve heard of places that are ran that way, where you work your a$$ off and nobody acknowledges or even sees it. But let me tell you when you take a 5 minute breather they’re all over you like a new suit.

  18. you_cant_make_it_up says:

hats off to the guys out there that retrieve the carts [or at least the ones who actually are willing to work] I’ve heard from numerous sources about all the policies that prevent the team from working… as a team. word is that when one of those stockmen need an extra hand outside & their supervisor calls for anyone who can come, to help, the comm channel goes dead, but when they call for more cashier trained people the comms sound real quick. It wouldn’t at all surprise me if the same people that are leaving stray carts within 25 feet away from a corral are the same people that are chewing out the cart pushers for not having ALL the strays picked up. It’s a dirty rotten shame. Sadly companies know they can treat workers like s*** because there’s a lot more where that one came from.

  19. you_cant_make_it_up says:

did anyone see it when they had that water leak probably a month or 2 ago. just to make sure we’re on the same page, if a pipe in your house sprung a leak what would you do? Personally I’d be shutting off the water to that pipe. Quite a while later, management mind you, were still throwing salt on the moving puddle of water. I just hope I’m not there if something bad actually does happen.

  20. moving forward says:

One more thing about Walmart i don t like much is going there before work in the morning and the workers are b1tching about the place so loud that customers can hear it. Not a huge deal but about as unprofessional as it gets.

  21. Amanda says:

@Moving forward I know what you mean I went in there a few weeks ago and a customer asked the cashier how it was going she told the customer oh you know over worked and underpaid.

  22. Me says:

Yes Walmart has a lot of problems but why is it successful? The people who shop there make them successful. Many stores are similar Mcdonalds, Target etc… The works don’t understand you didn’t get a damn degree to work there! That’s how America works if you don’t better yourself you don’t deserve as much as someone who does. The majority of the workers who complaint stay stagnant at that position and want to be there. If you want and are willing to move up the ladder you will get a decent wage. Theres tons of people that just like to blame someone else for their problems! The lanes at Walmart are fine 5/18 is a good amount for the traffic except for November and December when more lanes are open. Just go their and observe them for a while you will see what holds up the line it has nothing to do with SKU errors or staffing issues.

  23. Meezer says:

I think most of the employees at Walmart are friendly and helpful…when you can find them. I do my shopping in the evening. I wanted to try on some clothes. There was no one in sight to open the fitting room door. I rang that little bell over and over again yet no one came. I walked around to nearby departments and they were also devoid of employees. I eventually gave up and put the clothes back on the rack.

The last two times I was in Walmart my cart was full and there were only two checkout lanes open. The express lane at the far south end of the store and a regular lane at the far north end of the checkouts. Both times there was a long line at the regular checkout while the express lane was empty. It was 9pm…two hours before the store closes. I felt sorry for the cashier who was working her butt off yet managed to keep a smile.

It is poor management to work with a skeleton crew and expect customers to remain happy. They could at least open the two lanes next to each other so one employee could help the other one when it got busy.

  24. Heleen Krueger says:

Killin Me: I’m pretty sure I know who you are. I won’t even get my oil changed at Walmart anymore because the price is insanely high now.

As for “Lori”…since several Walmart employees have been terminated for putting anti-Walmart statements on their Facebook pages, you are clearly not the person you are pretending to be. Walmart has rolled back prices on lives to $12.96. Now’s the time to get one.

  25. IHATEWALMART says:

As far as Lori goes she is the worst store manager that store has ever had. She is horrible with the costumers and employees. Yes being a manager you need to be hard nosed at times. She is always like that unless you are her class, which includes back stabbing, kissing ass, and harleys. She has nerve going into the break room bragging about all her new toys when the basic employee can barely pay their bills. So basically she has no class. In fact she would probably do much better managing a Texas Road House it’s more her style. Or better yet not managing bartending at a Biker Bar. Everyone wants her to be more compassionate well it’s not in her blood her own kids don’t like her. I feel really sorry for her husband because he was mama and seems really nice. Look her up on CCAP her record isn’t clean. The employees complained about every manager that place had and did there best to get rid of them all. So maybe some of them deserve to have her. Her main gig is to threaten employees and their livelihood. So they are just frowning and in bad moods because the harder they work the worse they are treated.

  26. Stainless says:

Once we remove all rights from the employee, all businessess will be run like wal mart

  27. fit-to-be-tied says:

Enough is enough!! I can never find an associate on the sales floor when I need one. I have to walk all the way over to checkouts and wait in line to ask the checkout person where something is or have them page someone to help me. Then you have only 3 or 4 checkout lanes open and each lane has 3+ people waiting in line. I’ve had times where they have only 3 lanes open and I waited over 15 minutes in line and couldn’t wait any longer. I had to leave my line, park the cart and pick my child up for school. I was so mad that after I picked up my son, I went to Copps to do my shopping. In addition, someone needs to do a better job of keeping track of inventory. Its feasible to have a few items out of stock but I’ve seen sections of sheves bare and this was not due to movement of product display. Its rediculous. I do not know the manager personally but if something doesn’t change soon I will call corporate headquarters @ 1-(800)Walmart and leave a comment about the Antigo Walmart store.

  28. antigonative says:

why wait if you are so upset about it call the now, thats what the number is for, if you wait you will never do it.

  29. Mike Feller says:

I am not a big fan of Wal Mart, but I AM a big fan of saving money. I shop there because they are cheaper than everyone else. Here is something I have done in the past when the line was too long: I called the store from my cell while I was standing in line and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager. Then told that person I was waiting with X amount of other people in a long line. Within seconds after I got off the phone, another lane opened up. Maybe if they get more calls like mine, they will start paying attention and opening more lanes when they get too long.

  30. Melsays says:

Good idea Mike!! I just programmed their number into my phone and will be doing the same thing next time I am in the situation. Maybe being proactive will help bring about change!

  31. Betty Kay says:

Walmart is going down hill fast! They are taking alot of stuff out. They stop layaway, they have stop carring alot of crafts that people do. Ask someone for some thing haha you hardly can find anyone around to ask. Sure there might be a couple of good people working but not all are helpfull. They need to bring back the stuff they let go and maybe bussiness will pick up again .

  32. Stace says:

They took away my cat’s favorite food, and then a couple months later, they took away her favorite treats as well! (Mind you my cat is a bi*ch when she doesn’t get her way)… So I asked the nearest person working there “why”? And they said because the person doing the ordering sucks!! Can you believe it??? Oh, I’ve got the stories!

  33. Lol says:

The person doing the ordering is a computer! It’s the department managers job and some skilled associates to make sure the computers counts are correct so blame that associate. If you call 1-800 Walmart headquarters receives it but then it’s emailed to that store so they can improve the problem. So it’s completely useless if they are aware of the problem and are not willing to resolve it. They also might not think it is a problem. Staffing is not walmarts focus, it productivity!

  34. Bunch of Complainers says:

This is to all the whinners if you don’t like shopping at walmart don’t. Go somewhere else they arent making you shop there are they NO!! Drive to Rhinelander, Wausau. All the associates working there are doing the best they can. They are all hard working people trying to be in 5 different places at once. Sorry if your not happy but dont blame the associates and really your blaming the store manager you have no idea, she is not the one that decides what the store should or should not carry that is home office. And yes i am a walmart associate, i am not uneducated like some of you think we all are, i have been to college, i have a degree, a very good one, but i chose to move to this small town , where there was no job for me in my chosen field. Walmart has been good to me but you have to be willing to work hard, and not complain about everything. Good Grief you all just need to chill

  35. Been there says:

    To Bunch of Complainers.

You say if we aren’t happy shopping at WalMart we all should shop some where else. Where are we to shop in Antigo??? Copps is too high priced and so is Lakeside and Butch’s. The price of gas is terrible so how are we to shop elsewhere? You had better bet WalMart is well aware of that fact! The only thing they are concerned with are the numbers. PROFIT NUMBERS! To them the employees aren’t human – they are numbers on paper. Customers aren’t human – they are numbers on paper. The sad thing about this day and age is instead of reducing the power of unions everyone should be getting into a union to get their rights back. Wal Mart can only treat their employees the way they do because the employees don’t band together and say I’m not going to take this anymore. You had better bet that WalMart Knows this also. That is why the atmosphere is the way it is there. The workers don’t know who they can trust there. They are scared to confide in anyone for fear of it getting back to the wrong person. They are spied on and eavesdropped on and no one dares say a thing! Why is it that way? NUMBERS – NUMBERS – NUMBERS! I have one thing to say to Lori – You are a NUMBER also.
Why was there a policeman posted in the store? The newspaper said a disgruntled employee took a gun into a north side business. Well guess what business it was. How are we suppose to “chill” knowing that? It’s pretty bad when something like that happens and it is hushed up. The employees were only told “do not discuss it with anyone”. All for the sake of NUMBERS – PROFIT! Now where is the human factor in that??? That made WalMart a dangerous place to work and shop and it was hushed up! Why is everyone in Antigo allowing a dam near monopoly on shopping in this town. If there were more stores, maybe we could run this unsafe place to work and shop out of town. Sounds good to me!!!

  36. Been there says:

    To bunch of complainers.

I just want to add you say you are a Wal Mart Associate? You must been working there while the police were posted there because of the disgruntled employee. You would have been told (just like everyone else) not to say a word. I have many friends that work there and they were told if they talk to anyone about it they would be fired! So much for freedom of speech!!! Many might ask where was it in the news paper? It was at the END of a wright up of people who were in court for their wrong doings. There were no headlines on it.

  37. JF says:

I used to live in the Antigo area but now live in the Weston and I have to say that the Wausau Walmart is no better than the Antigo Walmart. I shop at Target now because their prices are similar and their products are better and if an employee sees you they ask if you are finding everything ok. Target’s employee seem so much more engaged in their job than Walmarts does. I quit shopping at Walmart a few years ago because their service is horrible and they never had what I needed in stock. I would buy diapers from there because they were cheaper but they never had their shelves stocked and when you would ask if they had anymore you would hear “what we have on the shelves is all we have” . Then you ask when they will be getting more in and they say oh well they are due to be here sometime within the next 30 days. 30 DAYS? Seriously. And another thing with their pharmacy was I called in and spoke with someone to refill my prescription and whomever I spoke with said oh yeah it’s fine it will be ready for you in 20 min. I get there and they tell me that they couldn’t fill it because my prescription had run out. Why couldn’t the associate that I spoke with on the phone tell me that? So we quit going there until recently. We went there to look at TV’s because they had some on sale and all seemed to go good. They gentleman that helped us load the tv stood outside in a snow storm while I moved my daughters carseat so we could fold the sheet down and got soaked. So I went back there again to buy her some jeans. We had also bought her a shirt. Well I misplaced the receipt and she had torn the tags off before I got a chance to try the shirt on her. It didn’t fit. Tried to take it back and I was told by a manager that they wouldn’t take it back because for all they know I washed the shirt and shrunk it, even though I had the tags and everything with it just not on it. Won’t go back there again. I would rather pay more for stuff than shop at Walmart.

  38. That so called "disgruntled employee says:

Since no one else can talk about it, Like the name says I was the “so called disgruntled employee” that everyone has been talking & spreading bogus rumors about. I have the police documents for the whole thing. The police report has the start date/time recorded as 4:55P.M. What’s odd is that when I was there it was sometime between 1:00 & 2:00P.M. & I believe it was closer to 1:30. If someone threatened me I sure wouldn’t sit around for 3 hours before I said anything. I did not do anything illegal. I had absolutely no bad intentions, just exercising my constitutional rights. WI is an open carry state. If you don’t believe me look it up, WI Constitution Article 1 Section 25. Oh & we don’t want to press charges, so did they just want to harass me. They said I walked in with a 9mm handgun. Anyone care to explain how one, especially in the north woods, can tell me how my single action revolver looks anything like a 9mm. After the police detained me I was brought down for a psych evaluation. I hold nothing against the police department they didn’t do anything wrong, yeah anytime someone cries wolf they need to look into it as they well should. If you not seated you should sit down. You know what the shrink told me? He told me that I wasn’t crazy or a threat to anyone. Oh & I’m banned from Wally World Antigo’s complex… GOSH DANG IT ANYWAY!!! I’m just crushed by that. Like I was really ever going to show them my wallet again, c’mon I’m not that stupid.
Do I still carry my gun? Absolutely, & I do so 100% within the law. I want to put the following myths to rest. I don’ carry a sidearm because I have a “commando coplex,” those types are dangerous, I’m not out to play “Matt Dillon,” & I for dang sure never want to have to use it in defense. I believe the best self defense is knowing your surroundings & not putting yourself in a potentially bad situation to start with. I’ll conclude with: for being sUUUUUUch a scary guy I haven’t walked into a place & get the following response: Oh My GOSH, HE’S HERE EVERYBODY RUN AROUND IN CIRCLES & SCREAM… AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m one of the nicest people you could run into.

  39. Foxnewsisforidiots says:

I don’t work at Walmart. So I can’t say that I have been threatened by the manager. Heck, I don’t even know who she is. I do know this, however. It has been my personal experience that, with the exception of one individual, the associates who I have encountered have been both polite, and helpful.
The one individual who I haven’t had that experience with is a blonde female cashier. I get the impression that when I say hi to her, she thinks that I am hitting on her. It’s that, or she has a some kind of personal problem at home. I have never seen this lady smile. What a shame. She is a fairly attractive middle aged woman. And no, I do not have the hots for her, and no, I have not been hitting on her.
Finally, I’m sure that the majority of Walmart’s employees prefer working there, to working like a damned dog for one of the areas slave driving potato farmers!

  40. Bring Back The Old and Out With The New says:

The Corp. office needs to take a look at the new. Well the store looks like hell all the time. Not some of the time all of the time. You never see the new manager on the floor that is Lori of course. They are always out of so many items. The store is always DIRTY !!!! And the associates are always complaing. So how is that working for for everyone ( Antigo ) !! I do mean all of the time !!! So I say walk down memory lane. Look at the old store manager Jimmy. The store was always clean . I do mean always. There were very few items ever out. You always and I do mean always seen him on the floor talking to everyone. He was very nice. You did not hear associates standing around and telling coustomers how bad it was to work there. So as I as OUT WITH THE NEW AND IN WITH THE OLD !!!!!!!!! Lets get him BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. some.nutcase.that.likes.constitution says:

that supposedly scary guy with a gun handed me a copy of all the documents pertaining to the incident along with his side of the story. It’s hilarious.. because it’s so stupid. The more you read the more it falls apart on itself. If you look at it, a lot of items have you thinking… OK, now they’re just making it up as they go. After reading through it… My tires will never touch Antigo or any part of Langlade County for that matter. Does anyone know why it took the idiots at Sammy Walton’s Store waited 3 hours to call the police? If someone came into my shop & threatened me the buttons on the phone would’ve been smoking from being dialed so fast.
-Speaking hypothetically for a moment. Let’s say that this guy really was a threat. If that was the case (which it obviously wasn’t) Wal-Mart willingly put a lot of people in serious danger… FOR 3 LONG HOURS!!!
I know that guy’s crazy because he likes the constitution.

  42. Shannon says:

All I can say is wow! Really now, come on, you all act like you could walk into your job and start telling your boss what you really think. The employees of Wal-Mart have no more power at their job then you do. The only thing they can do is smile and say that their are sorry so that you will keep walking and they can finish their shift and go home. You have all forgotten that most people don’t have the choice of where they work, they need to work. So why do think that you have the right to speak badly about them. From what mail order catalog did you send off for your holier-than-thou certificate? If you don’t like Wal-Mart don’t go there, if you go there be nice to the ones that have to be there everyday if they like it or not. Instant of ragging them for your day not going right, thank them for working there. They could be on unemployment and you would be paying them out of your pay check to sit at home. I am not saying that I love Wal-Mart, I myself can’t stand that they can’t have more then two lanes open till 9am, but I understand that they can’t do anything about it. Wal-Mart is here and they are not going anywhere, but we can make it a nicer place to be if we all worked together at being nicer to each other. Just think maybe then the person that has to clean the bathrooms would do a better job if you treated it more like your bathroom, and the store might be cleaner if everyone would do there part, you don’t throw trash on the ground outside then way do it in the store, just maybe the person at the check out would smile if you smiled at them. As for old items not being on the shelves things happen everyday, don’t that it personal, they didn’t stop having it just because they know it was your favorite. From what I have read you all sound like a bunch of 4 year olds at daycare. Life is hard enough with out a bunch of people ragging at you all the time. What ever happen to the golden rule? You want to take something personal, then make it your personal goal that every time you go to Wal-Mart you make at lease one employee smile!

  43. bunch of complainers says:

All I have to say is THANK YOU for your post Shannon, and yes I am a Walmart associate.

  44. Love the Buzz says:

Sorry, Shannon, I disagree with your line of thinking. As a former retail manager, I can assure you that it is not the customer’s duty to make the employee smile, it is the employee’s duty to make the CUSTOMER smile! That is if you want them to continue shopping at your store.

  45. Melsays says:

I agree as a Wal-Mart Associate, a major concern should be customer service. However, I agree with Shannon to an extent too. As a rule of thumb, think how much more pleasant things would be if we as a society were more aware of our attitudes and the effect they have on those around us? If you walk into a store thinking “I am going to try and make someone smile today” I bet things go better for you and those you come in contact with than if you walk in stressed about the things that happened at work, how you’re going to make supper, do the laundry, clean up and get the kids to bed before midnight.

I am not saying I always practice this, I am just asking what if? And….I think I am going to give it a try!! Give it a try and see!!

  46. Love the Buzz says:

Melsays, am I losing my mind or what??? I have been following this post from day one. I was getting the impression that customers were complaining about the service they were getting from Walmart. Crabby checkers, poorly stocked shelves, long waiting lines at the check-outs etc. Pray tell me, what in the heck has smiling at the employees got to do with it? Going into a store with a skip and a hop with a smile on your face has nothing to do with the service you will be receiving. If I go into Walmart with that warm fuzzy feeling, and smile at all I meet, it will not console me if I have to wait in line for 15 minutes while two aisles have their lights on. Walmart has to wake up and smell the coffee. Put more checkers on, at least during a holiday season!

I have to agree with a lot of the comments on here about the Antigo Walmart, as well as the Wausau Walmart. I don’t shop at either of them because of the rude people that work there. Lord forbid you go to the checkouts with full shopping carts, they act like it is going to kill them to check you out! Linda Johns was probably the best checker that they had there, if she is still there, and then the one lady from Mass, and the one with the southern accent, sorry, I don’t know their names, oh and Kathy, she was always pleasant, but the rest of them are just plain rude!!! I had almost given up on Walmart all together but then I moved out of the area and now frequent the Rhinelander Walmart. BIG change!!!! There are people there to help you in no matter what department you are in, the store is clean and well stocked, everyone that works there will stop to say HI, and if you need something that you can’t find, they will stop what they are doing and walk you to the isle that it is in, and help you find it, not just tell you, ” isle 3″

I shop later in the evening and only once a week for groceries…so my cart is full. Yes, I am crabby that there are often only two lines open to check out at 9pm. I know the people behind me in line are probably frustrated when they see I have a full cart. It is not the cashiers fault…they are just as frustrated as the customers are because they get the brunt of peoples anger. Blame the management…not the cashiers.

Even though Copps is more expensive…they have been getting more of my business lately.

To Meezer: Thank you for shopping at Copps, we appreciate your business!
