According to reports in the Antigo Daily Journal, the Hardees in
Antigo is now closed. It sounds as though no warning was given
and the manager was not commenting on the situation.

I always ate there alone, morning or afternoon, and only when I had coupons for special deals.

Now where do we go? Nobody eats at McDonald’s any more — it’s too crowded.

  2. Once Arby’s came I had no use for Hardees. I only ate the roast beef and curly fries and avoided it any other time. I never dealt with a friendly emplyoee the few times I did eat there. Maybe we will get lucky and get a Wendy’s here.

Looks like the Wisconsin Rapids Hardees closed a few days ago on 12/23

On Monday morning, a closed sign was on the marquee, while on the doors of Hardee’s Restaurant, 1821 Eighth St. S., Wisconsin Rapids, a letter simply apologized and redirected prospective customers to a Hardee’s in Marshfield, which is owned by the same company.

The store is owned by Fred Koch of Doro, a franchise operation in Eau Claire — Hardee’s in Plover and Stevens Point are under different ownership.

Messages left for Koch and Jon Munger at the Eau Claire office of Doro was not returned Monday.

Just wanted to pass along an update.. Schofield’s Hardees closed yesterday and the Minocqua Hardees also closed a few weeks ago.

All I can say is it’s about time. Besides maybe a few people at breakfast, I never saw anyone there. They have the most overpriced and unhealthy fast food you can find (over 120 grams of fat in a thickburger, more than twice your “healthy” intake). I would’ve hated working there, what would you do all day? It’s sad to see another local business go, but when it’s one that would’ve been smart to close years ago, it isn’t as bad I guess.

  6. Simplemind says:

Hardees (I thought) was overpriced. It wasn’t “fast food” when you had to wait 10 or 15 minutes to get your order in hand. For my family to eat at Hardees it would cost roughly $25.00..All of us would feel hungry again a few hours later. McDonalds is about $10.00 cheaper and we are full. . Culvers is as expensive but at least the food seems higher quality, has more healthy options, and has a few unique menu items. In these economic times $6.00 to $7.00 for a combo meal is out of line. Hardees had no value menu.. Cheapest burger was $2.99 (without fries or drink)

For the wait and price you would be better off going to Two Angels or Dixie and order a dinner.

  7. Sherry says:

Regardless of the prices and wait time, I will miss my Hardee’s roast beef sandwich and curly fries.

  8. Lenny says:

I haven’t been around lately on here… but I have to comment only to say, that I am certain I received the last order from Hardees. 2 pack cinnamon raisin biscuits, small coffee.

  9. What will Be going into the old Hardees building.

  10. Russ says:

The building is for sale by Advantage Realty, the asking price is $375,000

  11. DF2Y says:

It’s a great location, but $375,000!?!?!? Especially with the current real estate market fiasco, that’s an insane price. The building is almost 50 years old, and unless another fast food joint comes in, the buyer will most likely have to renovate the building to suit their needs, costing thousands more. Unless they take the price down $50,000-$100,000, it’s going to sit empty for a long time.
