Driving past the Bass Lake golf course this morning, I noticed
that some snowmobozos were up to their merry little pranks
again.
Every year toward the end of January, a couple of these
testosterone idiots decide to plow out onto the golf course and
tear up the fairways, rip up some greens, and trash the
embankments of more than a few hazards. This year, they
added “crash the fences” to their dim-witted repertoire.
You repectable snowmobile “sportsmen” out there really ought
to do more to clean up your cherished pasttime. Snowmobozos
brag about their exploits, because “it ain’t fun doin’ dumbcrap if
you don’t recognition” from your snowmobozo buddies. So
word is bound to leak out. How about this time around, you
pass the word along to the authorities, instead of just grumbling
under your breath about how “a few bad apples makes the rest
of us look bad”? What makes you think there are only a few?
Misbehavior gains credence when it is tolerated, and gains
supremacy when it is accepted. That’s how we got “hip-hop”,
and monster truck competitions, and “professional wrestling”,
and snomobozos.

i truly dont think hip-hop, monter truck competitions, or professional wrestling has much to do with the dim witted idiots who cant control themselves to wreck havoc on someone elses life.
I’ll bet there’s a more-than-coincidental pattern of “preferred leisure time activities” in operation here. You can probably add football (or ANY professional team sport), and television in general, into the mix. I see a lot of craving for passive entertainment based on violence and/or conflict, linked to energetic internal-combustion-powered activities with the goal of trashing something or someone to demonstrate momentary superiority. With too few exceptions, we are not a contemplative, constructive species.
I am not fond how snowmobilers think they own the road. Not stop at stop signs, fail to look when crossing the street, fail to yield to oncoming traffic. Are a majority of these drivers drunk? If a snowmobile is hit by a car due to the operator being an idiot, the driver always the victim.
