I don't have a problem with the walk-in clinic just the ER. Anytime I need to go in, I will go to Wausau. When my daughter was sick 3 years ago, they said there was nothing wrong with her. She was 2 yrs old and would not turn her neck, would not eat or drink and she was a thumb sucker and wasn't doing that either. She was in there twice and both times I was told they can't find anything wrong. I then took her to Marshfield Clinic and they did the same thing the ER did in Antigo PLUS they tried to get a urine sample, which try getting that from a 2 yr old that is not drinking. I managed to get one later that evening and took it to the walk in clinic to find out that she was dehydrated...why did they not catch that in the first place in the ER? So they told me to get her to drink..duh, what do you think I have been trying to do? This started on a Mon and then I took her to the ER in Wausau and they transported her via ambulance to St Joseph's in Marshfield cause she had an abccess in her throat the size of a golf ball. From there, she had surgery and was on a vent for a few days then was released from the hospital after being there for a week. After this was all said and done, I got a bill from the ER in Antigo and called them and said I am not paying this cause they did NOTHING for her both times we were there. Never saw a bill after that. There have been other family members of mine that have gone there that have had similar problems and ended up in Wausau. Never going to Antigo ER again

thinks the Antigo ER and Walk In have a fabulous staff, in the events that our family has had to be treated, we have been very happy with them, somethings people have to wait, that is the way it is, times are tough, skeleton crews are neccessary sometimes, it is hard to get to everone right away, and that is why they put people in priority of illness or injury, its the way it is...be happy you have somewhere to go when you need to and be happy that these folks are working their nights weekends and holidays to be there for YOU if you need them...

Sorry, but the hospital staff IS responsible for what goes on in the waiting room. You don't tell anyone anything these days. You don't know what people will do. It doesn't matter if it's a hospital, a restaurant, a movie theater - you don't take it upon yourself to control others.... unless it's a family member (my mom and dad are always screaming into their cell phone, and we always tell them to take it outside). It's sad that anyone needs to be told to have respect for others these days, but when they do need to be told, it's a responsibility of management/staff.

When a resident from the nursing home is taken to the hospital it is the responsibility of the charge nurse on that wing to call the family and tell them the resident is being taken to the hospital......therefore the hospital more than likely thought that her family was contacted already and that is why they didn't make the calls.......once it had been a number of hours without her family checking on here they probably figured they better call the family and make sure they were aware of their loved one being in the hospital........if u want to place blame u need to point the finger at the charge nurse that was on that night at the nursing home.......

My grandmother was very ill for a long time, being that she was in the nursing home, and in and out of the Antigo Hospital. One night something happened to her at the nursing home and they had to ship her to the hospital. Well, they had all of the family's names and contacts for her, but failed to call any one concerning her condition or whereabouts. Only Seven hours later, almost 2 in the afternoon, some one finally call our family to let us know whaere she was and what had happened. Immediatley, she was removed from their care and sent to Marshfield. How irresponsible can they be? HOw ever I do like their baby ward. Most of my family was born there, and we plan to have our children there also. Cant say any thing wrong about the OB

u can not blame the walk in staff for that moron as u called them being on the phone....if it bothered u so much u should have asked them to talk quietly or go outside.......I am sure the staff was busy taking care of patients and didn't have time to tell that person to quiet down.........I personally would have told them I do not feel well and I would appreciate it if u could talk quietly or go outside to have your conversation.........
