According to reports on WSAW, Mr. Brandt has won the election for Antigo’s Mayor. Bill Brandt won the spot over Gary Cernoch, a leader in the Elks organization.
After the resignation of Mike Matousek last year, Sam Hardin had filled the post. Mr. Hardin did not seek election.
..

Yes, congratulations to Mr. Brandt. But even better is that EDER and MORSE are off city council. Unfortunately, KAPUSTA is still there but without MORSE there to pull his strings, he will be completely irrelevent. Today is a good day for Antigo!
most of it is good however having brandt as mayor is not one of them
Congratulations Mr. Brandt, I feel you will do an excellent job and so does the percentage of Antigo voters! I also agree that having Eder and Morse off of City Council is good, Kapusta has seen his better days, too and should have not sought re-election but that is two years away (hopefully). I was astonished by the picture of Eder in last week’s Antigo Daily Journal, it must have been at least 50 years old!!!
Reading the journal today I saw that EDER and MORSE didn’t even have the class to show up at their last council meeting. Good riddance!
Just a thought, maybe Mr Cernoch can be encouraged to run for a aldermanic seat next year? I appreciate his willingness to serve and being a alderman is a great chance to get your feet wet in the governing process.
I think this was a win-win situation, no matter who won in the end. Both have tremendous amounts of leadership experience, both are successful in what they do, and both are good people. Antigo took a step forward after this election!
I agree!
Just wonderring how it is that R&D Vans managed to procure a couple acre’s to park his JUNK semi trailers on. Brandt, being a former cop should have noted the condition of these, as well as Mr. Soumis, who suggestted the move. Mr. Theilman claimed in the city council minutes to have 28 or 29 trucks. He owns 3 trucks, 5 ROAD LEGAL trailers, and pretty much everything he has at parcel 210-2942.023 ( across from waste management) is not road legal ! No brakes, missing tires, rims and complete axles… who would rent them? Granted, he does have some of Fallons stuff in storage, but that may well be due to some problems with contract problems, and might possibly already be written off..
I would really like to know what other “essential” buisnesses Mr. Theilman caters too…. the only road legal trailers he has are partially owned by Sartori foods.
Mr. Theilman just needed someplace to park this stuff out of sight, so the city wouldn’t make him scrap them, as city ordinances would normally require. Out of sight, out of mind?
Mr Brandt, and Mr Soumis, you have been played !
I agree. It looks terrible.
