Langlade Weather (by Albus)

This April 19 snow business has put a crimp in my golf game,
for sure. It’s too hard to putt in this weather. The rolling golf ball
collects snow, and gets to be a snowball too big to fall into the
hole when it finally gets there. You have to count extra strokes
for pounding the snow off the ball to make it fit. This is definitely
going to have a bad affect on my handicap.

The snow looks like it’s stopping here, about noon on the 21st.
We’ll have to shovel snow off the greens for today’s afternoon
tee-time. That should work better than trying to putt through the
four inches of fluffy stuff covering the grass. The real problem,
though, is going to be shoveling off the fairways. That’s going to
take most of the afternoon, I figure.

I’m beginning to see why the sissy-snowbirds go to Arizona or
Florida for the winter.
