Kayla Berg Missing for Two Months
Hope Sprenger has been wearing a cross necklace everyday for the past two months, a present from her missing daughter. She says she’ll continue to wear it until she comes home, “I have no idea. It’s like she just vanished.”
Hope’s 16-year old daughter Kayla Berg has been missing since August 11th.
“She did not run away. That’s my true gut feeling it’s not in her nature,” says Hope.
Kayla grew up in Antigo and her mom says there’s no way her happy, outgoing daughter would have left without telling anyone. According to Hope, Kayla went missing while visiting her father in Wausau. The Antigo Police Department is calling Kayla missing and endangered.
“Everybody’s dedicated to the cause and we hope that we can bring her home safe,” says Captain Nate Musolff of the Antigo P.D. He says they have at least one person working on this case everyday. He says they also receive tips from the community constantly, “Community is aware of it and everyone’s chipping in to and doing what they can to help us locate her.”
Hope and Captain Musloff say Kayla’s entire family and the Antigo community are working hard to find her. They both say no one involved will rest until they do.
“We’re not going to quit until we come up with what happened. It’s hard to say when that will happen, but at some point we’re going to figure this out,” says Captain Musolff.
“She is my single motivation. She’s what gets me up every morning,” says Hope.
Hope adds she gets through the days by working to find her daughter, but it’s not easy, “It’s just a nightmare, like I can’t, I can’t wake up. It’s a living nightmare.”
A nightmare Hope says she will only wake up from when Kayla comes home.

Kayla is 16-years-old, she has brown hair and eyes, she is 5 feet two inches tall, she weighs about 108 pounds, has pierced ears and a pierced navel and has scars on the right side of her nose and her right shin.

It sounds to me like “whowhatwhere” is a very immature person who is in denial about what really happened. After six months, it is obvious that Kayla didn’t run away on her own…Kevin assisted in her misfortune, whatever that may be, and now he must face the truth and realize that pleading guilty isn’t going to erase what happened six months ago.
He just gave her a ride to wausau He is NOT GUILTY of anything.
Kayla did what she did it’s her fault for not coming home..
Also it’s getting sicken hearing about her She is gone so deal with it she would come home if she wanted too but she must not want too.
But when she does come home she better get the book throwing at her for doing what she did to Kevin and his Family and friends.
Also tennagers run away for reason and she had a reason to run..
Also if she would of told people they would know where she is and get her back home But know Kayla being the spoiled kid she is don’t tell anyone and than don’t care about anyone back here. and don’t care that she messed up a very good family and their lives.( Kevin’s Family) all she cares about is herself rite now and that is very sad…
So for everyone out there Kevin is the best person i ever know he will do anything for you he helped me and my family and my daughter went with him and she came home safe and sound. also i would let him around my kids anyday cause he is so nice.. Kevin you are NOT GUILTY KAYLA is just being a spoil brat and isn’t thinking at all she needs to grow up and act her age. Come back and Deal with Life just like everyone does…………..

I somewhat agree with WHOWHATWHERE! Kevin should not be being blamed. He gave her a ride. Kayla chose to be friends with him and her parents chose to let her hang out with a 24 year old. I am in my 20’s and I am friends with a lot of people that just got out of high school, because they are my brothers and sisters friends and they have been to my parents house. Does this make me bad person. And Kayla chose to do drugs. Anyone who knows her knows noone forced her to do the drugs or whatever! Giving someone a ride is NOT a crime!!!! I also think that everyone on here should have to apologize publically. I also am begining to think that Kayla planned this whole thing and does not want t be found. Why would she take her purse or her cell phone(if she had one)? she left everything behind for a reason…so nothing could be traced to her. The police should start looking into that angle. And look in places that she loved. For instance, didn’t the family just move back from Texas? Maybe she liked it there and made friends there or had a bf there and her mom or whoever made her leave that and she went back? are these kind of things being looked into. What is sad is the Antigo Police Department. they don’t do there job!!! people get away with murder in this town, that has been proven quite recently. don’t worry though if you kill someone in antigo the police department will just rule it as suicide cause they are too lazy to investigate or call in investigators that can do something. I mean come on people! all this blaming on kevin for giving her a ride is a waste of time, when people could be out looking for her and digging into what really happened everyone is too busy pointing fingers at an innocent person. I guess if he is guilty then noone should ever give anyone a ride ever again, cause it makes us all guilty.
One more thing…everyone attacking WHOWHATWHERE just proves the stupidness that goes on in this town and the naieve ways of thinking…of course its easy to blame Kevin…that means noone has to get off there *ss and do anything!!! While Kevin is being blamed Kayla is probably sitting somewhere laughing, because she is in the clear and another family is being ruined…and this all means they aren’t looking for her and she can live life the way she wants. I kind of hope this is the case, because for the families sake I’d hate to see anything happen to her..but if this is the case I agree when she is found she deserves to have the book thrown at her for putting not only her family but other families through hell!!! If she is found safe and sound she needs a wake up call.

Also I give ppl. rides home everyday hey if they don’t go in the house it’s not my fault that they didn’t go home also I don’t sit and ask them question where and what they all plan on doing once home, it’s not my concern at all, and if they take drugs so be it that is there problem not mine.. I had a kid not go home once i dropped them off But like i told the parents it’s not my fault that they didn’t go in the home and I told them all i did was drop them off and left that they do what they want after they are out of my car that is the parents of these kids problem not mine..
Ok thats what Kevin did was JUST gave her a ride didn’t know anything besides she wanted a ride to wausau. ok than she took drugs well that was her choice to do the drugs. she could of said NO..
ok yes she was 15 yrs.old ok kids can say NO to drugs at that age but No she wanted too and she did. Kevin didn’t Force her to do anything that nite. Ok she called Kevin why didn’t she call anyone else cause she knew Kevin wouldn’t sit and ask any question why she wants to go to wausau who is there.. anyone else would asked to many question and told her to come back home and she didn’t want to come back so this was the only way she could leave town is ask someone that won’t ask question at all… the police are as dumb as some ppl. cause number one go and get more ppl. to help look for her. also they are all 2 faced every police officer they help out who they want and don’t care about the next person at all. ppl. have the wrong last name cause if you had a good name the police will help you and let you go on things.. They sit and help this one person that should be in Jail for good but no they kiss butt..
Well number one sit and think like a teenager go back and restep that nite. Why didn’t she tell her friends what was going on, cause someone would say something to her parents and they would find her, also are you sure she wasn’t due to have a baby and she left till she has it,or she has a friend somewhere that noone knows about. Go and talk to all friends again and tell them if anyone of you have any Idea where she is you’s will get money if you say and tell the truth, She could change her hair color or cut her hair so picture her with short hair also..
So this is what I’m trying to say THINK LIKE A TEENAGER and things will come around… Wake up and smell the flowers…
I hope she is safe But also she needs to be booked for something cause this is aweful what she did to all these Familys…
Also My kids hung around older guys but I knew the family really good and like i tell my kids you don’t come home Well you will have one big problem on your mind when you do.. if you run away from problems guess what when you do show back home your problem is still there..
You can never Run away from problems cause they will always be there till you deal with them.. So Kayla you need to come home and Deal with the problem and also I’m sure ppl. will try to help you out…
Gosh just stop the bull crap and come home and deal with the problems I’m sure your parents can help you out… or someone….
Back off Kevin and his friends and Family we are going though enough stuff already… Go and look for Kayla and stop the sh*t…..Also why did the paents let her hang with Kevin well cause he is a good guy, also they didn’t know what Kayla was going to do that nite well maybe she would be here still if the parents would of asked her what is was doing before leaving the home, I also think the parents know something and aren’t saying anything at all… cause this whole thing is way to fishy cause she could of had anyone give her a ride but No she asked Kevin so she could take her drugs and she knew Kevin wouldn’t ask her why she wanted to go…. SO SHE had it all planned where she was was going and with who cause Know matter what anyone says here all kids say hey I’m going here for the nite and end up some where else cause if the parents knew the truth they wouldn’t of been able to go than.. So that is Just what she did planned her get away and she didn’t know that Kevin can get in trouble for Just giving her a ride,, WEll he did and it’s not fair at all… SO KAYLA COME HOME AND HELP KEVIN OUT BE THAT FRIEND YOU SHOULD BE TO HIM AND COME HOME SO HE GETS FREE OF ALL THINGS AND HIM AND HIS FAMILY CAN GO ON WITH THEIR LIVES HERE… ALSO KAYLA THIS IS AWEFUL WHAT YOU DID TOO HIM GROW UP AND COME HOME AND DEAL WIYH AL YOUR PROBLEM RUNNING AWAY JUST MADE ONE BIG PROBLEM…. sO EVERYONE NEEDS TO THINK LIKE A TEENAGER AND LEAVE KEVIN ALONE………..
