so my question is this. . . why in the hell would the city allow this idiot or his wife to even have a liquor license in the first place, this guy is a total waste of air and lets not mention he really is a shady character. he decides to start this brother to brother thing (good idea) but goes out and sells a crap load of tickets for a new harley to be raffled off. ok great but this loser screws over people from our community to sturgis and back, and no one had a chance at the bike or for the most part even got there money back what the hell is this idiots deal. . . well off the subject the bar he is (was) in was always kept up by former owners and this dumb **s completely ruins it and now the wack job is going to go into a beautiful building and ruin that one as well, wow you would think at the monthly rent of 3500.00 the cops would pay attention to how is this loser really paying the bills WOW COULD HE BE SELLING DRUGS AGAIN?? either way this guy don’t do crap to help this community he just enhances the already trash that should be taken out provided they are not doing favors for antigo’s finest. . .
Darwin is not only shady but an outright theif, anyone who has bought a shot at his place will notice that he uses 1/2 ounce shot glasses. this would be a hanging offense in texas.
Darwin is also a sexual offender, just check out the state registry for his picture and criminal information. A person with a felony conviction should not be allowed to own a business open to the public.

Just an FYI for the first post with the author of “can’t wait”. This facility is outside the city limits so the city did not give him a liquor license. The license would be issued by the Town of Antigo I believe. I suggest if you have a difficulty with what is going on you should speak to the elected officials for that township. Also, if I remember correctly, it was not HE who held the license for Petticoat Junction but his wife or significant other. This may possibly be the case again; I am not in the know but I would think it would be easily researchable.
I have received word from a reliable source that Darwin & Sheila Davis were evicted from the Petticoat Junction building, how could they possibly get a license to run another business that is doomed to fail???

First of all I would like to say child molester doesn’t come close to what he is. The phrase I prefer to use is baby raper. He molested his own 2 year old daughter. Reading the above postings amazes me. Never before have I read such ignorance. Outside of the bad spelling and poor grammer, the information contained is incorrect. Coming from a loyal customer following from the original Petticoat Junction located on Hwy 52 I will now correct that misinformation. Sheila actually owns the business. Sheila is not a felon and there is no reason to not grant a liquor license. As for the eviction, Sheila voluntarily split from the lease since she was fed up with dealing with someone who was unwilling to upkeep on repairs that were there when they entered the building (like the bathroom ceiling that was apparently damaged by broken water heater months before they took over), who blatently refused to upkeep his machines (my two favorite were unusuable for months) and was commonly too intoxicated to even be intelligible.
To whomever the coward in the first post is, the monthly payment is NOT $3,500.00. If you didn’t see the lease, perhaps you shouldn’t speak what you don’t know.
Anyone who questions the size of the shots served is more than welcome to stop out and weigh one. They actually put about three shots in every mixer and it’s closer to a double shot when purcased alone.
Darwin hasn’t been on Parole since 2000 for the dipsh*t who is again misinformed. Anyone who doesn’t believe this can check it out with his last PO Linda, who was recently employed a WalMart. Also as for the sex offense he met a girl in a bar who turned out to be under age. It happened 15 years ago.
As for the motorcycle giveaway, it was rolled into another contest, since there wasn’t enough tickets to cover the cost of the bike. Rather than draining the charity account to cover it they called all ticket holders and refunded those who didn’t want the new tickets. I actually helped mail those out.
I was at the bar the day they drew for the cash giveaway. There was a crowd there that watched every ticket drawn, and all tickets were laid out for inspection prior to drawing. All proper and legal.
As for the cleanliness of the kitchen, well you can call the health inspector who issued their license, and does random inspections to their and every other resteraunt in the area. If anyone still doubts, please go out there. They will show you how clean it is, all you have to do is ask.
As for drugs, they have cameras installed and will prosecute any one who is caught using or selling on premises. Zero tolerance policy for drugs. I have seen both of them get raging angry at people they have caught selling and using in their buildings before and have no reason to believe it won’t be the same here.
It sounds to me like a couple people hiding behind a few different names have too much time on their hands.

Hello all. I figured with all that’s been said here, it’s time for me to defend myself and what’s mine. I am amazed at what has been transpiring here. We’ve got the Now’s posting here, Missy, Tina…nice line-up and all hiding who they are, like I can’t tell. What amazes me is that not a single person has the courage to come out and voice your opinions in a forum that would allow proper response, but hide anonymously on the internet.
So here’s my response for you all. Keep my employee’s criminal histories out of my business. Darwin’s criminal past, like any other person in my employ has no bearing on my company. I am entering into my 6th year in this business and have had numerous employees over that time with varying degrees of criminal backgrounds and never at any time have any bearing on my business.
For “CANT WAIT” we actually have done good for this community since moving into this town. We held an auction raising $500 for the new park when it was still being built. We pulled our kids from school to have their picture taken for the paper when we handed the check to the mayor. That photo was never published in Fred’s paper. The Antigo Shopper’s Guide mentiond it for us. This can be verifed with them. We also helped raise money for Michelle Bricko when her husband passed to help out. We helped several people through the charity we started, including an annual cycle ride to raise money for continuing support for fallen members, named the “Michael Normand Annual Memorial Ride”.
The problem with citizen’s in this town is that they spend a lot of time staying focused on an event in history, and miss out on the great things that happen around them. Easier to focus on gossip ~ easier to believe as well. The punchline to this joke is that the skeletons in the closets of those who are speaking ill are way worse than anything that any of my employees have done. Lets talk about being responsible for the deaths of multiple people for dealing poisonous drugs and yet they not only don’t have charges brought, but continue to deal them out of their homes and businesses. It must be nice to be able to toss stones around that glass house and not fear breaks.
Just for the record i think people should keep their mouth shut. My brother- in -law quit talking to his whole family because of them accusing Darwin of sexually assaulting his daughter. Because my brother-in-law didnt beleive what his crazy sister had to say. People need to clean their own back yards before they worry about someone else. If nosey a$$ people would worry more about their own life Antigo would be a much nicer place

How is it possible that known drug dealers are still free to roam the streets, own businesses, & continue to sell drugs. It seems like everyone else knows who these people are but not much can be done.

To amazedatthe ignorance: Where do you get your facts from? First of all Darwin did not meet this girl at a bar. The girl was a friend of our next door neighbors 15 year old daughter. And what happened was our neighbors had a backyard party. After I went home and the adults went to bed, Darwin (24 years old at the time) stayed with the 2 minors and got them drunk and had his way with them. Couldnotagreemore hit it right on the head. I can see by your posting he hasn’t changed at all. And to Cindy, he did molest his daughter. Why do you think his parental rights were terminated? You were not in the court room. Hi everyone this is Tara Duncan which is Darwins neice and I am not scared to let u all know who I am!!!! I have been around Darwin since a newborn straight from the hospital and he has never touched me in the wrong way just so everyone knows he must realli not be a perv!!!! And second of all he has been around my 1 daughter and has never tried to touch her!!!!! I have been to night moves and it is a very nice and comfortable bar!!! And for Kelly she dont know wat goes on in antigo she barely remembers her name for love sake. She dont remain living in this area but I do recall that her big fat nosed family lives here. I also recall that my uncle did quit talkin to his family except his brother due to this situation that kelly is talkin about. And as far as Missy goes she should know where the drugs were found at petticoat cause she is the one that narked him out!!! I would like to start by saying im not surprised how everyone in antigo is showing their ignorance as usually it sure stands out the type of uneducated inbred comments that i have read. First everyone wants to talk crap about darwin and petticoat butnobody has nothing to say about the Now’s since they have money, lets be honest for years drugs were sold out of now and later since thats not open it continues out of the pawn shop. next how about all the times there was stolen merchandise found within that pawn shop a legitimate pawn shop takes all the proper steps to be sure they’re not purchasing stolen merchandise. they’re also the ones who own the antigo hotel which in the recent months has been renting rooms to a few individuals that are coming to the community distributing heroin tell me they didn’t know when a guy is coming to the area once every 2 to 4 weeks renting a room for 5 to 7 days leaving and returning a couple weeks later. I would find that suspicious. Then we have the female in which darwin was charged for the sexual assault with i went to high school with her and she was a down right skank all through junior high and high school. not that it makes it better what he did cuz either way it was wrong but it’s not like he forced himself on her, she has always been e z then by the time she was 17 she was stripping with fake id’s in wausau and dating drug dealers and doing whatever they wanted. then we have kelli who accuses him of molesting his daughter which is such a fabricated story kelli is so psycho that she will fabricate any story in order to try to benefit herself, she was just lucky to find a sugar daddy that is 20 some years older than her otherwise she would be alone all the years but this guy would take anything he could get with her big nose and crater face. I”m gonna say something short and sweet and people can take it how they want. I’ve made mistakes in my life and I did admit to them that’s why I was incarcerated, but one thing I have never ever done was harm any of my children. I go to all of my kids’ sports functions, teacher meetings. My wife and I are very involved in our kids lives. Our kids are very smart and outgoing. They are also very polite and well-mannered, unlike most kids nowadays. To even bring my children in to this is low. All it’s going to do is cause them unnessary harm. If any of you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me directly, rather than hiding behind your keyboard. We can discuss it like adults and with their teachers or anyone else that may be necessary. People who have known me right along can see that I have changed. I will not apologise for my past because I have learned and grown from it. I think it’s time for others to grow up, too.

I tend to avoid discussions driven by high emotion, personal attacks, or beliefs adhered to in spite of the facts, since there is little room for rational interchange or intellectual development in such circumstances. That pretty much cuts me out of topics loaded with fear, hate, politics, and religion. Nonetheless, I feel obligated to respond to the request for my assessment of the quality of writing in this thread, if only to defuse the emotional intensity of charge and counter-charge.
I have two comments. First, it’s readily apparent that the chaotic narrative, ungrammatical construction, and fuzzy thinking promulgated by the Antigo Daily Journal have penetrated deep into the alleged conscience of our local society. One may wish to offer a “cart and horse” or “chicken and egg” argument, we being primarily rural, but I feel I know which is the cause and which is the effect.
Second, I note that of all the participants in this discussion, Darwin appears to be most coherent, literate, rational, and well-spoken of the lot. Just compare the comments, from top to bottom, and make your own assessment. I’m not quite sure what this says about the cultural and social values of our little community, but I think it is good fodder for a research study, or a novel, or at least a TV reality show. Or maybe an investigative reporting piece in the Antigo Daily Journal….

As far as the hospital I run…I am sure many many people who post on here have visited it and came out alive so I must be doing ok.I was just stating facts on here.As far as hiding behind our keyboards,you post on here time after time and talk $hit about everyone on here yet you hide your real name so we could in return say you are hiding.I am drawn too agree with just a girl when she said we should focus on finding Kayla.Here we are with a 16 year girl missing and not caring as much about that as we are about Darwin.I am kind of glad Darwin came on here and spoke his mind (still can’t stand him but he did man up).I will still stand behind the town and say he should not be allowed around children but I am glad too see he has his say.I hope everyone reading this has a wonderful day. {edited}
