And why bother with sushi when you can just get a fresh bluegill and bite a chunk out of it, hey, Booger? And who needs their chicken fried, all tough and stringy. Eat it raw, and just spit the feathers out! All that fancy cooking is just for them flatlander wuzzes, hey?

  2. simplemind says:

Actually.. Not sure why KFC put a Taco Bell in there. Should have done what Shawano did and combined it with Long John Silvers.

  3. Gussy says:

Taco Johns and Taco Bell serves the purpose for the people in Antigo who think they are more authentic than El Tequila.

I have never had a bad dinner at El Tequila and the service has always been top notch. At the other two establishments they are over-priced garbage and they can never seem to get your order right. But maybe the food tastes better if you have cigarette breath and a beer buzz. :)

One word about this establishment: SLOW

No matter whether you order from the drive through or go inside, the service is ssslllloooooowwwwwwww. When I complained about it the last time I was there (yes, I really complained to a fast food worker) the response I got in front of the -nine- other customers present was, “We’re really busy!” These nine other customers, six of them were already in the dining room, eating. They were not “really busy” by any stretch of the imagination.

As a low income community, it shames us if we can’t have quality fast food workers. I think Antigo can do much better then this.

  5. RACHEAL says:

I totally agree w\ them being very slow & not caring i find that alot of places around here are like that.

  6. Delirum says:

i know people that work there and yes some of the employees are not the best workers but the few i know are hard workers who bust there a$$es everyday doing the work of ten people just to make the customers happy. its a new business with mostly unexperienced workers. give them a break. if you are too lazy to make your own food and have to rely on others to feed you then maybe you should at least try and have some patience while they cater to you.

  7. Sherry says:

Well said, Delirum…I couldn’t agree more!

  8. ddddd says:

Really? Hmmm…I thought fast food meant GET IT FAST! After all, that’s what their business is SUPPOSED to be! When people go through a drive through fast food window, it usually means they are in a hurry. That is the entire concept behind the business. This is the reason people are willing to pay a fairly high price for mostly mediocre food. It’s a convenience issue. This place is notoriously slow and they should start caring about it and do better. Honestly, there is no excuse. Why is it that no one seems to care about doing a good job anymore?

  9. Innocent Bystander says:

Untrained????? They opened in late April or early May and the employees are untrained??? How long does it take to train? As a former Taco Bell employee (no not this one) let me assure you that it is not rocket science. There is nothing in the entire franchise that requires almost 6 months to get the hang of it. I doubt very much that these people are that mentally incompetent that they cannot grasp this stuff (remember the mentally retarded kid that became pretty famous nationally working for the McDonald’s franchise?) and yes it is called fast food for a reason. Granted fast food is making us all fat, clogging our arteries (hello heart attack and stroke) and promoting laziness (does anyone remember how to cook out there?) however if it’s not fast and accurate it is simply a bad, overpriced food substitute. However in defense of this atrocity, people keep ordering and eating this garbage. If you don’t go, it will go…away. If you continue to frequent this “restaurant” you lose the right to complain. I think by now, we know it’s not going to change.

Albus you are a douche. I was simply giving my opinion that I did not care for the “authentic mexican” food as it was not what I was expecting and you have to put up a smart a$$ed post about biting a chunk out of a bluegill rather than eating sushi? Get a life moron, I’m glad I have better things in my life than sitting in front of my computer and being an a$$hole on the Antigobuzz.

Booger said, “I’m glad I have better things in my life than sitting in front of my computer and being an a$$hole on the Antigobuzz.”

Oh. You do? Well then, get to it! I’m glad to hear you’ll be making such a personal effort to improve life for all of us in Antigo!

  12. Heleen Krueger says:

@Delirum: Normally I do cook for myself. The few times I’ve eaten there have been odd schedule days or some other random circumstance. That day in particular I was getting my car’s oil changed at Pomp’s and was feeling a bit peckish. I should have gone to Dairy Queen…

As for the “untrained” comment, while I’m sure a few of them are first time workers, I can’t possibly imagine that none of them have ever worked at McDonald’s, Burger King, Culver’s, Arby’s, Taco John’s, Pizza Hut or Subway. If you’re not a complete moron, once you’ve worked at one fast food place, it takes little training to get used to another one.
