Help in Need for Anti-Abuse for Animals Demonstration

Please join me in a Peaceful demonstration June 10th 8:30am. I’m asking as many people that can to come to my house at N6052 River Rd (off hwy 29) in Tigerton the morning of June 10th. I’d like to see parked cars on the whole road in front of my neighbors’ house! I’d like them to see how many people know where they live and don’t like what they are doing. I’d like to see you holding up signs telling them “No to Winnie Mills” & “Puppy Mills”, or “Abuse a child or animal, go to jail”, or whatever you can come up with.
The man that lives there has numerous child molestation charges pending on him. Check him out on CCAP. Paul Hurlburt.
Make signs or write on your car windows, whatever you can think of, but it has to be a peaceful demonstration, so we don’t end up being discounted. Hopefully we can pressure them to not come to court that day and my charges would be dropped.
This could also draw the media, that would be great attention for our cause.
Please RSVP at 920-379-0782 and to get directions.

Please contribute to legal fees and attend the Peaceful demonstration on “my court date” June 10th in front of my (animal-child abuser) neighbor’s house in Tigerton.
You may contribute through my chipin site rescueandreferral.chipin.com
or send a check to a special account I opened for this cause.
The name of the account is: Legal Fees Account for Debra Potschaider Premier Community Bank, 112 US Hwy 45, P.O. Box 54,Tigerton, WI 54486
You must address your check specifically to the Debra Potschaider Legal Fees account.
Any funds exceeding legal fees will go towards strengthening animal protection laws in Wisconsin.

Always for the animals,
Deb

**************UPDATE 06/12/2010****************

Hi everyone,
In case you haven’t heard yet, the tresspassing charges were dropped on June 10th.
A few friends from the Langlade County Humane Society particapated in the peaceful protest in front of the neighbor’s house, with posters. The woman came out and shouted some comments at us, which we ignored. We hope this is what kept her from showing up in court later that morning.
With the $500.00 dollars that was donated on chip-in I plan to use half to support The Windchill legancy, which is a simular situation that took place in WI. The remainer will go to support the ALDF’s first Animal Bill of Rights .
I have updated my animal rescue website to address how to really report animal abuse and how to get policital for animals by writing letters, sending e-mails, and making phone calls.

Why would people pay for legal expenses when it was the actions of the individual that caused said expenses. I say that if you want to act a certain way, be prepared for the consequences. Quit whining. Why ask for $ help. Be an adult and take care of yourself. This country is going to he** because of these types of attitudes. Everyone feels as though they are “entitled” to something. Last I checked, watching rehab movies costs the individual $90/hr. Seems as though the “teacher” could afford their own legal fees.

Alrighty, then…so…let’s see if I got this straight. Deb’s neighbor in Tigerton has child molestation charges pending and Deb wants people to show up at her place for a peaceful demonstration protesting animal abuse. (So is the neighbor molesting puppies and kittens?) And this demonstration is to pressure someone into not showing up in court on that date so some sort of charges against Deb will be dropped. Oh, yeah–and send Deb some money for her legal fees. Excuse me, but I was already feeling really confused as to what this is all about when Fed Up mentions “rehab movies.” Now I know I’ve entered the “twilight zone” here.

My comment?? Anyone who molests a child should have their hands and feet cut off and be denied any type of government assistance. Let them work for their living. Anyone who abuses an animal is certainly despicable and should be appropriately punished–perhaps with court-mandated volunteer hours cleaning cages and pens at an animal shelter.

I never “shelled out” money to help my kids with their “legal fees” because it was more important for them to learn to be responsible for themselves. I’m therefore not likely to teach them a different lesson by donating to a stranger’s legal fees. Sorry. That’s just the way I roll.

  3. Fed Up says:

I believe that said person is employed in state/fed subsidized work environment specializing in “counseling”.
It is beyond me why this person would set up a web site to “help” with her legal issues. Yes I am with Alfalfanator, describe the issues that you are having and then people can decide whether or not to “subsidize” your legal fees “NOT!” What a farce.

You guys shouldn’t be so quick to judge.
If you had bothered to click and read the links, you would understand the situation a little more.
See the whole store here http://sunbearblogsquad.org/2010/05/22/tigerton-horse-case/.
Granted the above post lacks a lot of important information but taking the time to click on the links would give you a picture of a woman who went out of her way to help an injuried and dying animal, only to be slapped in the face with criminal charges!
She is asking for others to stand up and say what a “farce” the charges are.
I, for one, am with her!

  5. ????? says:

I am with her 100%. That is ridiculous!!! No animal should ever be left that way and noone that was trying to help should ever be punished. The person that let the animal get into that condition should be punished. Its sick and cruel!! Like Alexis said, click on the links and realize what is going on. Although some people I guess don’t have a heart and care about animals…if it were a child though they may think differently!! Imagine the things he did to the children he was accused of molesting…this person is sick and needs help!!!

  6. Deb P says:

A Victory! The charges were dismissed when the owners did not show for court. Hopefully the peaceful protest in front of her house was successful.
The $500.00 donated will go to The Windchill Legacy and the Animal Legal Defense Fund to support Animal Bill of Rights.
Anyone who knows me knows it was NEVER about the money.
    Always for the animals,
    Deb P

I can personally vouch for Debbie’s character. How many of YOU would lay in the snow & try to get water down a dying horse? Would you haul hay from your house & stuff it under its head to the best of your ability, like Deb did? Would you cover it up in your blankets from home when the snow was falling all around you…in February & take the chance of being late or not making it at all to that “State/Federal subsidized work in ‘counceling’ & lose her job? Keep in mind that this horse was down, literally stuck to the ice & thrashing around & pulling off hunks of her own skin trying to get back up. She was covered in blood & also hemmorhaging from suffering a miscarriage. You have no idea how much of her own money she spends each month to feed stray animals, to trap them to have them neutered or spayed so they can’t bring any more unwanted & uncared for animals into the world. Debra was not looking for us to pay her fines.Fines that never even should have been accessed, because she was NOT asked or told to leave the propeerty till much later & when they asked, she DID. She was looking for people who would stand beside her …in court, at the protest & give a few dollars to show your sincerity. You(people in general) say you care for animals, but do you REALLY? Not when the wallet has got to open. There was exactly 7, SEVEN! of us at the protest & at court. And only 7 people in this county did the right thing & feel good when we look in the mirror. DO YOU?

  8. ????? says:

I think its a shame at the way people think. I however applaud Deb for what she did as I would have done the same thing. I was unable to make it to stand with you guys, but I was thinking of all of you and hoping the charges would be dropped as it was nonsense!! Just sickening to think some people can be so ignorant.
