Although no longer a resident of Antigo, Ms. Mary Jo Berner, is
showing signs of some typical Antigo-type behavior. Hypocritical
would be an understatement in my opinion.
On one hand, we have the good-doer Ms. Berner, who has created
a center for peace, the “Many Ways of Peace” center in Eagle River.
“It all boils down to how we treat one another and our planet.” a quote by Ms. Berner from the article about the grand opening of the peace center, which you can read in totality HERE.
Then, on the other hand, we have the strong-arm Ms. Berner, who has
apparently been making threats to her local businesses in order to obtain the property and access needed for a hiking & bike trail which she is supporting.

The “assumptive entitlement” gene seems pretty well-established in the Northwoods genetic puddle, doesn’t it?
I once had a job interview with “Sugar” AKA Mary Jo. I can honestly tell you that was the strangest interview I ever had. Asked me if I ever read the newspaper? My reply was “No”. She went on and on about how important reading the local newspaper was. I need to spend several hours a day reading Eagle River, Antigo, and Rhinelander newspapers if I wanted a job. I later found out the area newspapers worshipped the ground she walked on. Newspapers would often write propaganda pieces on her. I can’t find one former employee who enjoyed working for her. Not One!
I believe the “assumptive entitlement” gene of the one-horse-town variety only APPEARS to be well-established in a gentic “puddle” because of its tendency to backstroke for better exposure. In a larger pool or reservoir, these genes would be the toadies holding up the more endowed genes in the pool.
Curious to see that narcissism is alive and well and flourishing. Gee, how did we all get so priviliged to see your thoughts? Hitler had similar thoughts about places like the Sudetenland. Fact is, wherever you live works for you. Bully. How stupid to sneer.
It’s also suprising to see that someone would waste time on this blog since it’s simply a tool for character assassination.
Yup, Mary Jo did a silly thing. I’m sure all of you are faultless.
She’s also done some very good things for many people. Didn’t see any of that here.
