Good ole Boss Hog sounds about right for this guy. The money went to his head and obviously lining the pockets of some others. Crime goes all the way to the top. Maybe print this article for the ADJ? Nah, they have THEIR OWN STORIES… don’t even get me started on them. This dude should be exposed though. The Antigo Daily Journal needs some competition to put some positive thinking into the area. The farmer didn’t actually have to do the sewer thing, did he? I sure hope not. Del Nicholson will continue to be like he is, and if people don’t approve the only thing is to take away his power and stop going to FUDDFEST!

I guess it matters what one personally thinks is worth an argument!

SO it is coming up….yes..the May councel meeting to put the Fudd Fest in their place…..I hope all the surrounding area people make it to this meeting…so Mr. Fudd can hear what the area is expecting……maybe a few good ideas for how to deter the golf carts, 4 wheelers, and the the accidents form happening.

FYI… ALL and i do mean ALL fire department members that come and work for fuddfest get a 4/5 day pass for free as long as they work a total of 12 hours. Also, their camping is included. I have been to Fudd Fest (once!) I personally watched this Dell order a EMS person to go over to that farmers land and kick everyone off of it because he wasnt getting the parking money. He (the EMS guy) wouldnt do it and Dell stormed off. I and the crew that was with have not returned to the Fudd Fest grounds because of what we saw. I think the farmer (who i dont know personally) should be able to offer what ever he wants on HIS property. He does pay his taxes doesnt he? and i also have a hard time believing that the fire department that serves that area would sit by and let it burn. People talk and the stories always good…. later down the road! As far as the accident that happened, it could very well happen again. Thats a fact of life! The thing is, its a public road and it doesnt matter if it was little miss mary jo walking her little dog down the road at 11am on a sunday morning or a intoxicated Fudder walking to his or her car at 2am thats parked on this farmers land… it still can happen! Theres 2 sides to every story and i think the farmer has a right to do what he or she wants. Does the farmer tell the fudd fest ppl what they can and cant do on THEIR own property?? i dont believe so. But whatever, everyone can argue to thier blue in the face. Nothing will EVER be settled unless these 2 ppl do it themselves! On another note… whos the farmer and whats his number so i can find out what drive way to use if i were ever to go? Why pay for parking when i can get it for free!!! I might even throw him a couple bucks if i can pitch a tent!

I just wanted to thank all of you for entertaining me!!! Reading all of the banter and gossip and name calling is effin GREAT!!! What’s even better is how ya’ll wonder why nothing decent goes on around there!! Thanks again and keep it up =). This blog has been particulary entertaining. You have no clue what is going on! and for you to get involved and let everyone know only your opion is idiotic! Yes the farmer has a right to his land, but Del has a right to his business. Other things that your small brain may not have thought of is insurance reasons, people walking up and down the road causes hazard and danger to all involved, especially after have a good time and a few drinks.
What my whole point is, is that is none of your business! Stay out of it, unless you have sat in on the Town of Peck meetings and talked to both the farmer and Del. Your side sounds pretty one sided! hmm, I wonder!

All I can say is WOW…

I have several family members who live in the area, volunteer for the Peck Fire Dept and work their @$$e$ off for the Fuddfest (as well as other) donations. They don’t get free tickets, and wouldn’t dream of asking for them, even if they are “inconvenienced” by the additional traffic and noise.

My personal opinion is that it is entirely different if you buy a house next to an airport or an airport is built over the house you have lived in for decades. But again, they are NOT the ones complaining. It’s not in their nature to do so. They deal with the hassle, try to get along with everyone and know that it will (or should be) over in less than a week.

I don’t live in the area, but I do use the snowmobile trails. I think it would be unfortunate if landowners start shutting down trails that go through their land because of all this – but the reality is that the snowmobilers would simply find other routes (such as unsafely riding down the road and/or through peoples’ front yards). Granted, it’s illegal to ride on the road but, again, the reality is that it would happen and there wouldn’t be much likelihood of it being stopped. This would result in more traffic accidents or near misses because we all know that you can drive A LOT faster on the road than you can in the woods – and you leave a trail of ice and snow behind you. There are hidden ditches and hazards everywhere.

I personally have never attended Fuddfest for reasons that I’m not going to give because I don’t want to add even more fuel to the fire. I grew up in this neighborhood and, while there were petty squabbles here and there, everyone always managed to get along or get out of the way if they couldn’t.

Oh – I almost forgot – as for the comment about letting the farm burn. None of the volunteers I know would EVER purposfully let ANYONE’S property burn. They VOLUNTEER because they want to HELP people in their neighborhood.

I enjoy going to Held’s
I enjoy riding the snowmobile trails
I enjoy country music
I don’t go to Fuddfest (which is MY CHOICE)
I have nothing against any of the Nicholsons
I have nothing against any of the Schreibers

I THANK GOD I don’t live there any more!!!!

Oh – and PS – bad grammar is also one of my biggest pet peaves but I won’t berate people for it

All are fine from the accident. The driver stated he was extremely sorry and wished he would have used better judgement.
