A candlelight vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Antigo City Park to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of 16-year-old Kayla Berg. The evening is to be filled with special music, sixteen years of photos on a giant screen, free black and pink ribbons, and guest speakers to include local law enforcement, clergy, and family. The public is invited to bring their own lawn chairs and candles, although a limited supply of candles will be available at the event.
Kayla is 16-years-old, she has brown hair and eyes, she is 5 feet two inches tall, she weighs about 108 pounds, has pierced ears and a pierced navel and has scars on the right side of her nose and her right shin.

If you have any information regarding Kayla, please call Crimestoppers at 715-627-NAIL or the Antigo Police Department at 715-627-6411.

Let’s fill City Park with candles on Wednesday night by coming together as a community to support Kayla’s family and friends!
How did the vigil go?
It was amazing and heartfelt but for a community of 8,000 residents, it was disappointing to see only a couple hundred people there.
thank you to everyone who came to the vigil
