Around 5pm today, a call came over the police scanner that there was a fire at the recently renovated Outskirts tavern on the south side of Antigo. Flames were visible from 2 of the 2nd floor windows, which is an apartment. It was reported on the scanner that everyone had gotten out of the building. The bar was known as BnR Tavern for years, and more recently Smo’s Pitstop.

JustMe, When I drove past that burnt down rubble yesterday I thought, Gosh, too bad… there went a perfectly good future brothel up in smoke.
I looked further at the property and don’t see how they could have put a family center far enough away from the bar t make them separated.
I agree its a horrible loss for any family to suffer and I never really wished it on to them but I knew someday they would get what was coming to them. And that is all. In this case, I believe its payback for all the dirty deeds the Davis couple have participated in. Karma got them.
I also am a firm believer that people can change. Sometimes you have to hit bottom before you wake up. Maybe this is a wake up call. Some people can turn their lives around and stop the lies, cheating people, theft, vandalism, keep the sex between themselves, never manipulate and force it on anyone else, stay clean off the drugs and alcohol, stop pushing drugs, am I forgetting anything? Something good can build out of something bad.

I was born and raised in Antigo, and I started reading Antigo Buzz just to see how the town is doing after all these years. I am so thankful I got out when I did. Went back and visited a few times and it was so sad,nothing left in the downtown area and the people living there most of them nice enough but they looked like they were still all back in the 70′s just as I remember them being when I left. And I hate to say this but most of them looked like a bunch of loosers. Now that I read what all of you have to say about one another, it’s very sad that all you can do is talk bad and back stab! I knew when I was a teenager I had more class then this poor town has to offer,my god the few people that i did still know that were there looked like 10 miles of rough road, you never would have guessed they were my age. Jennifer, you have the wrong Tammy. I did not sit in the bar, I was in school building my career. I never worked in Antigo. I don’t remember knowing a Jennifer. I knew Dar and Sheila before the bar business and visited at the bar with my mom only a couple of times where they tried to talk me into having sex and doing drugs. I stay committed to my boy friend. We don’t sleep with other people. But my cousins life, family and children were destroyed totally by this couple.
And btw, I don’t have an uncle that lives up in this area. My parents are from KS and their families are all down south, KS and MO areas. You don’t have to feel like an ass…. Tammy is a common name.
i for one know people were living upstairs. How bout the underage drinking tickest that were issued up there. I know darwin and u and you guys live real close to me. When i got up this morning i didn’t expect a flyer taped to my door with his picture ffrom the sex offender website. WHAT I DIDN”T Know was what kind of person you guys are. You would never have been able to open up a family fun center since he is a registered offender and the law states that sexual offenders cant work in an area where children are frequented. So maybe thats why the family is unliked. And your Electrician “STEVE” isnt certified. So save some time. Be truthful.
I see a lot of envious people that don’t have half the ambition Darwin has.

I find it quite disgusting how our world is being devoured by e-mails and text messages, we are raising our children in an era, where they will not be able to communicate with someone face to face! You have a bunch of mindless ghosts who hide behind a fictiscous name and claim truth! I for one have found grace in my heart to pray for those who are lost and broken, downtrodden and forgotten. I for one do know the Davis family(all of them) and some of the stuff that is being written on here appauls me! I know for one Darwins brother had a devastating accident several years ago that almost killed him, he has not drank any sort of alcohol in almost 30 years, and has been clean off of drugs for almost 17 years(he will be the first to admit his downfalls) he is a fulltime student and working to better himself and be able to work again. I attended his graduation last May from NTC with his associate degree in Human Services, and he is starting his bachelor degree in January. I was astonished to see some ignorant fool write on here that he was milking the system(lmao)
I could only imagine what you would do Steve, ( if that is your real name) if 3 to 5 tons fell on your head and crushed your body to the point of near death, having the life squezzed out of you by the second!!! I watched as Darwins brother fought for over two years just to be able to walk again without any assisted device such a wheelchair, crutches, or cane!
And you people who are talking about this family as if you knew them, we have all had skeletons in our closets, lets be honest!!!
Like a pheonix rising from the ashes and taking on new life, like an eagle renewing new life, like a bunch of hopeless people, we must all make a change at some point in our lives. The trick is not to forget where you came from! Now I am certain that this has become to deep for some of you, others will grasp onto the meaning behind the words and make changes that will affect everyones lives that surround yours.

I heard that the neighbors, Noskowiak’s, bought the place from Darwin and tore it down and cleaned it up. Also heard Darwin is headed out of town now.

I’ve read article after article on this site, and I’m sicked by everyone bashing eachother. I’m not originally from here, but by the comments on this site (Jennifer and Tammy), you make the town look really bad! It’s funny, because the people who have nothing to do except sit here and bash others, really make “me” feel grown up!
