The NEW Shopper is coming soon! The first issue hits doorsteps February 8th and will be full of information on shopping, dining, entertainment, and local news. The new office will be open January 17th and we welcome you to stop in and talk with us.

I am a former worker of the shoppers and this is the first I am hearing of it , so I will say no to your question Sherry.
We are excited to be opening this new publication in Antigo. We have found there is a great need for a resource such as The Shopper and have gotten a welcome reception from residents and business owners alike. Our first issue is February 8th and will include similar information, i.e., community calendar, local information, etc. In addition, we are adding some exciting things. Both myself and the other owner have been lifelong residents of Antigo and look forward to promoting the community with a Shop Local, Buy Local philosophy.
We appreciate any ideas and suggestions, so please call or stop by if you have ideas to share. We are currently accepting submissions for local news and information for our first issue.
We applaud the work that the former employees of the AASGN have done as we know firsthand this is an exciting but difficult industry. Any former employees of the AASGN are welcome to stop in and talk with us about opportunities that may be available now and in the future.

This ought to be good, another one of Shaughn’s get rich schemes, Everyone knows what happened last time she went into business with Meridith from butteze…Oh yeh that is out of business also, I did hear she has been out trying to hire ex employees from the shopper for much…much less than they were making. If she cant afford to pay them even close to what they were making,which was not a lot, than she doesn’t have any money, My policy has always been……Never work for a poor person….I want my boss to be wealthy, that way he or she can pay me fairly. I wouldn’t be caught dead advertizing in her new publication, I would seriously rather throw the money out the window…at least some poor soul would find it and get a good hot meal

I know Shaughn quite well. I seen her work hard, and put together some very creative promotional and sales ideas. Other times I seen her drop the ball in the middle of the game, and leave things an unorganized mess.
She definitely has the brains to pull it off, but the dedication is questionable. We’re talking a publication that possibly reaches 10,000+ people. Shaughn is going to need to be there and put in her 130%. She is so famous for leaving at noon or working a few hours on a Friday and shutting off her ringer, not accept, or return phone calls until Monday, if she actually returns phone calls on Monday. Maybe she’ll do well if its her dime and not someone elses.

as far as I am concerned, people who can bash someone who is as highly motovated and professional as Shaugn shame on you…..I would love to see you do what her and her duaghter are trying to do . This town has so many gossips and negative people. That is why the downtown is dying. look in the mirror you bashers and see what your life is like. The reason you are so nasty is because you are jealous. I know Shaughn personally and have had the priveledge of being a collegue of hers. She is nothing but professioanl…… hats off to you Shaughn..I know you will be successful
Maybe with the motivation and professionalism that Shaughn has she will be able to afford a real Chanel handbag instead of that knock-off sack she flaunts around town.

I would never try to start a business in Antigo. My skin is not thick enough for the insults and gossip that goes along with it, but I do admire anyone who has the guts. Plus they are giving jobs to local people and that is a great thing! I think the new paper is going to do just fine. Things may have started off a little shaky, but each week I think it gets better. They are obviously getting more advertisers and have more local news. I also think the kids page is cute! Best of luck to the new owners.
I can’t believe I’m still reading this site. People are such negetive jerks on here. Someone tries to post something poistive, and the loosers who have nothing else to do with their time, have to turn it into something netetive. For those of you who are always being so negetive, learn to like yourself. It’s obvious you don’t.
I have one thing to say, why does them trying for success affect any of you? Why do you even care? And why waste your time bashing other people behind a computer screen? Personally, every person on here that even took the time to comment negatively about someone shooting for their dream, is retarded…to say the least.
