The Pickerel-Pearson area bar caught fire on Saturday afternoon and burned to the ground, according to the article in the Antigo Daily Journal, which can be found HERE.
The bar was also known as the Wolf’s Den in the past. There is a campground at the location and the owners sound hopeful to rebuild & have camping available this year.
No one was injured in the fire. The owner & others were there at the time and did get some items out of the building before it was destroyed.

That’s really a shame, Hummer is a good guy.My best wishes to him and his for the rebuilding.
My ex girlfriend and I had our first date there. We were on the bike and stopped for a drink.
Lil Hummer will have the second best bar in the county after he rebuilds. He is a good business man that will do it right!
Pleased to inform everyone that we are officially open! Open daily at 10:00 a.m. Stop in to see the new facility! Looking forward to seeing all the old faces and many new ones.
Hummer & Karen are not as good of people as you all seem to think. They have accused former employees of theft, ones who would never even think of such a thing. It has also been heard around that “perhaps” the fire was not an accident. If they didn’t rebuild, the buzz was that they’d only get $40,000.00 But more if they rebuilt. So….say hello to a brand new place.
It sounds like a good possibility that they did burn it down

Where do you get your information from? You just hear something from someone else and think it’s true so you spread the word? One of my best friend’s is a bartender there and she knows Hummer pretty well and has worked for him for a few years. The fire was an accident! Ever hear of slander? Get your facts straight.
Hey R45RH-
If Little Hummers is the second best bar in the county after he rebuilt — who is the first??????
