Is Sheriff Greening’s “iceberg” melting?
I have been hearing different things lately from different people about the recent drug busts. On one hand, you have people who think that the whole “marijuana” ring itself was just a cover-up for something bigger. Even though that started out with cocaine in the mix, none of the teachers or school staff members were charged with cocaine, only with marijuana. This does seem somewhat suspicious since in the first criminal complaint against Mike Peterson did involve cocaine and it was mentioned in that complaint he had brought up marijuana and cocaine.
I have also been hearing that it IS COMING and that a lot of people are going to be charged with cocaine and other drugs, including “big names”. We just need to be patient, I guess.
Although I think some people would argue that sometimes being patient is what leads to things being covered up. The longer we wait, the more likely it is that people forget and things do just “go away”.
I think it is amusing that WSAW keeps putting that blurb out there that Sheriff Greening said, something along the lines of “this is just the tip of the iceberg”. I just hope that the iceberg is not melting and justice will finally be served in Antigo, period.

Greening isn’t supposed to be talking at all….he has been told by the real law enforcement to stay out of the way.
Ok,, We have had this problem,, even back to judge Jensen. The crime of some of the people charged and going to be charged,,,,goes back many,,,many years. And these people ,,taught our children,,,give them advise,,, WERE A BIG PART OF DARE,, hung out at places that only the elite of Antigo would hang out,,, THIS INCLUDED LAW ENFORCEMENT TO. So dont anyone tell me that OUR USELESS law enforcement,, DA, JUDGES, and ect did not know a thing about these happenings going on for years and years. Alot of them were ,, and still are envolved. None of this crap should surprise anyone.. Most of everything was hidden and covered up,,,,, plain and simple…
I remember long ago when the Antigo HS basketball team competed in the state tournament in Madison; I think it was around 1972. That probably did more to introduce the sleepy little burg of Antigo to marijuana than any downstate drug dealers. Students from the high school streamed to Madison in unprecedented numbers. We slept on floors of older siblings or stashed in some alley like I did.
I would like to claim it was my first marijuana experience, but alas, the pot I was sold was really oregano. I want my five bucks back! Tasted more like the spices at Pizza Hut than real hooch that I discovered the next year partying with some Vietnam vets at a rundown church they all rented when I matriculated to the UW education system.
Actually, the pleasure I had smoking the demon weed had a direct correlation to the number of ancient and classical texts I poured over as a student. I graduated with honors. Today, I am probably one of a handful of scholars (I associate that term with myself loosely I assure you) who can translate Early West Saxon. A tallent that has no real practical value.
But the pleasure I gained from those lost nights talking some brand of philosophy with ragged vets are some of the best times of my life, and I wouldn’t trade for a finger or a toe for those experiences, which is a better deal than some of them got.
since the beginning of time there has been a drug of one form or another . and there always will be . peyote marijuana mescaline e.t.c. to balance the work and pressure of the world . it will either be on the black market with murder and violence or to legalize regulate and tax . and take out the middle man who are we kidding it sounds good the WAR ON DRUGS has been a complete failure . the same people that drink there highballs till they passout and return to there respectful jobs in the morning .are the biggest Hippocrates there is . LEGALIZE IT REGULATE TAX IT .bottom line . this will come up for a vote soon and we need to get realistic . heroin cocaine maybe not but marijuana yes . just don’t inhale . ya right
by the way marijuana arrests are a waste of tax dollars save the prison space for the rapists and murders . it costs 23.000 dollars a years to food and house not to mention the medical expense that some prisoners rack up . this is almost more than most of us make a year in wages . its a vicous cycle . and a fleecing of America . the private prisons put the pressure on the politicians which put it on the cops to arrest more . for nonviolent crimes .for more tax dollars build more prisons . and so on . boy we need to wake up and smell the weed .

Report is that there was a UFO landing, several aliens were seen to be prowling around the premises, apparently exploring the dug out basement for replacement fuel modules for their spacecraft. The Antigo Daily Journal will soon report on the report suggesting a report that law enforcement officials from the official law enforcement office responded to suggestions that their response was requested as they are available to respond as reports suggested they were available for responding.

See Jerry you do have an audience. Terry is also foolish enough to believe that Bush created the mess Obama got us into. Help for homeowners is another bailout but this time at least some of it is coming from the banks and less from the tax payers. I am curious though how in the heck it became the rest of the tax payers problem to help people with their financial troubles? Do you run to your neighbors and pay his car or utility payments if he is behind? Or worse yet if he can not make the payment on a car he could not afford to begin with. Where did this mentality come from? I do wish it was just baby steps because that way Obama would not have done the extreme amount of damage he has done in such a short period of time. Funny how when we are all safe and we don’t have terrorists on our shores, we don’t see the good the last president has done. If we had bombs going off in malls etc then that would be George Bushes fault of course for not doing enough.

Who is in office while the banks get a slap on the wrist? Who controls the length of a war? If it was so easy to end wouldn’t our current president have ended it right when he took office? If Osama was and easy catch would he not have been taken out right away when Obama took office? Who put the wheels in motion to gather the intelligence to kill or capture these guys? What did it take to rebuild our intelligence agency and military that was stripped clean by Clinton as he robbed Peter to pay Paul and call it a balanced budget? See the trouble is we have term limits that do not allow either party time to put a decent plan into effect and see the results, good or bad. Term limits should be the vote of the people. If a guy is doing a good job why should he not be allowed to continue to do that job and get our country back on track. These guys get into office and come up with some 10 yr etc budget plan that means squat because the most they will see is 8 years and it is all changed. The bottom line is the Dems are socialist and want to strip the people of their basic rights. They also go off the deep end with environmental nonsense. The Republicans are to much for the corporations and the constant crying poor that they do in order to justify lower wages and non existent benefits, all the while they shove the savings to the top offices of the company so that they can be rewarded for doing nothing more than stealing from the person doing the work that makes the money. Where else can you get a bonus when the company you are running is failing and you reduce pay and benefits to make it look like a profit. These guys should be sharing in the cuts so they have an incentive to turn things around and make more money. The end result is we are all screwed until it collapses on itself and the unions that have lost sight of what a union is really for.
You cannot win a war that is not tangible. war on poverty, war on terror, war on drugs. Get the drift.

Watch a documentary called voices in Iraq and then see what you think about the war and how you would feel about it if you were in the shoes of those people. It is easy to sit in the comfort of your home with the safety provided here and act like nothing should be done. Keep in mind this documentary is video taped and made by the people of Iraq.

@really i will keep watching abc nbc msnbc abc reading all i can on all sources im a news junkie . so i try and get a all around view . ill even chime in on faux news just for a laugh . . the day for us to invade another country is over Vietnam should have tought a lesson . innocent young Americans killed . only for greed to rape mother earth and take as much as fast as we can . greed is number one with both patries . . if i thought the republicans were truly concerned about environment the economy the jobs plan which they in what over a year still have not introduced a single bill . i have better things to do buddy . at the end of the day when i put my head down i say did i do good today have i helped mankind . my fellow man black white man woman and yes even republican . i volunteer often in the woods in the city . at schools with animals . not enough in my eyes but im getting there . so really this isnt about you and me . its our country and our earth . our fellow man .volunteer sometime it does wonders for the soul and brightens everyone’s day . have a great weekend .
I agree with you that it about our country. Again watch the video Voices of Iraq and let me know what you think. Vietnam is nothing like any of what we are talking about. Vietnam is thrown out all the time when liberals want to make any military action look unjustified. Vietnam is Vietnam, it is not Iraq or Afghanistan. They are not even close to being the same. Also the media is a far worse enemy than any terrorist. They distort and report based on who’s paying the bills. You single out Fox News by calling it faux news because you feel that the others are telling the truth and Fox is not. Think again. The media controls much more than you think and has not told the truth about so many aspects of the war. War sucks and that’s a fact. Wars happen and that is also a fact. If you think we will live in utopia here on earth your in a fantasy world so deep you wont ever be able to get out. There are people out there that want to kill you unless you conform to their religion. Don’t think for a minute they wont come here if they can and have their way. Just be happy that we have a volunteer military that is willing to defend your freedom and keep you safe. And keep in mind there has been no problem finding willing volunteers to do that job.

Back to the subject. Greening never had a iceberg. What he should have said i’m digging for information! He now has it!! Read the posts, he has dug a hole for himself, the mayor and the DA! I am almost sure the people that posted were telling the truth! What I have read, those three are as bad as the people who got busted! What do you think?

Jerry I loved your UFO story. It made me think of the story involving a western Wisconsin town near Minnesota, that has the UFO Festival at the end of July because of UFO ‘Sightings’ from the 70′s.

Of course the real law enforcement is going to “gag” Greening. His “shocked” comment on CNN was pure bull$hit. Where are the cocain busts?? The law inforcement is out chasing a few pot smokers and NO mention of any cocain users. I wonder whats going on up at Bass Lake where the cocain was being bought and sold. You don’t here a word. Sounds like a cover up to me plain and simple!!
