Lund resignation for eligibility of pension?

I am just wondering since John Lund has now resigned and he was not fired and has not yet been convicted of any wrongdoing, was it done so that he would still be eligible for a pension?

Does anyone know the rules on that and how something like this deal would work?

If he is convicted, will that have any affect on his pension later?

Antigo Daily Journal downplaying local drug busts

Not a big surprise, but, apparently Freddie thinks that the Antigo drug bust has gotten more attention than it deserves, according to his “Bits and Pieces” on January 28… http://antigodailyjournal.com/full.php?id=14142

Why would the events create a “tough time” for the Journal? Are these people harrassing them? Or does Freddie just have a hard time publishing not-so-flattering news about his friends or what? News is news and last time I checked, the Journal is a NEWSpaper.

Freddie needed to “reminded” by a friend that authority figures & drug charges are something that should be reported.

Shouldn’t an Impartial Judge be handling the Teachers Drug Cases?

On WSAW tonight with an interview with Sheriff Greening, he admitted that he knows many of the people involved in the current drug investigation that includes Teachers, Principals and Coaches. I do not think it would be far-fetched at all to make the assumption that the Judge also knows these people and is treating them with favoritism.

I can not recall a case where there were so many felony drug counts against someone and they were not put in jail, have a cash bond set, and if after a week or so were unable to post that bond, it would be reduced to a signature bond. I thought this was common procedure.

These people that are involved in the community, and with our children, should be held to a higher standard and should also be made an example of. It makes me sick when people in positions of authority are NOT treated as such and get special treatment because of who they know.

I think a Judge from some other area, far away from Antigo, should be in charge of these drug cases. I don’t think a Lincoln county Judge or Forest County Judge would be good enough, as I am sure they too would be favoring these people.

Looks Like Antigo Coach/Principal Finally Charged

According to the Wisconsin Circuit Court website, a person John R. Lund, with a date of birth of 12/13/1964 has been charged with multiple counts of Manufacture/Deliver THC, Maintain Drug Trafficking Place, and Possess w/Intent THC. I would assume that this is the same John Lund that has been placed on Administrative Leave by the Antigo School District.

You can see the charges on CCAP HERE.

- Also charged today, with similar counts are Bradley Maahs, you can find that info HERE.

And Scot D.
Maybe we can FINALLY get some answers, and or more information about the cases since people have actually been charged.

I have now heard 2 stories on the news recently regarding the Forest Avenue Trailer Park in Antigo and how problems are not being fixed. Tonight the story on Channel 12 was mentioning RATS, mold, garbage and backed up septic. I do not understand how this can be going on?

Does everyone in the trailer court own their own trailer, or are some of them owned by this Randy Bouche (sp?) guy?

What options are there for these people? Why hasn’t the City or County stepped in already?

It disgusts me to think that people are forced to live this way in Antigo. Maybe the news coverage will help, but, it sure seems like this guy has no business owning any properties.

There are a few posts on this website about food pantries and soup kitchens, is there any help available for the people who live in the trailer court?

********************** UPDATE 2/7/2012**************

According to an article in the Antigo Daily Journal, there seems to be some good news for the residents of the Forest Ave Trailer Court. Here is an excerpt:

The solution may be simple. Bouche, through his attorney, has indicated that he does not object to the revocation. Thomas and Sherry Light of Milwaukee, who previously operated the park, have applied for the licenses and have indicated they plan to rectify the problems.

“Bags of Hope” Food Drive

Combat Hunger Wisconsin will be organizing a food drive in Antigo to be held on Jan. 23 – 27, 2012.

Many people in our community are experiencing hunger, or are just one paycheck away from it. Hunger might be affecting family members, neighbors, co-workers or friends, and we may not be aware of it. Hunger can affect anyone, anywhere, regardless of age. But there is hope.

Living in a community that cares about their neighbors, friends and relatives – and maybe some people they don’t know, helps. It is this heart-felt caring that permeates into something special. People helping people. This brings us to this moment and the reason behind these words you are reading now.

Combat Hunger Wisconsin is organizing its first food drive in Antigo titled “Bags of Hope”. We will be asking for volunteers to drop off flyers in neighborhoods throughout the community to promote this food drive and to let people know that we will be back on Friday to collect food donations. The flyer will ask those who participate in the drive to bag up non-perishable food items
(or toiletries and personal items), and leave the bags on their front porches for pickup on Friday. All donated items benefit local food pantries.

About Combat Hunger Wisconsin

Combat Hunger WI’s mission is to engage in the war against hunger with a direct action campaign on feeding the hungry. This action consists of organizing food drives that benefit local food pantries in the area and the creation of a soup kitchen. Our mission is to feed the low-income hungry of Langlade County , WI by soliciting and collecting healthy food and grocery products. We collect, inspect and distribute these products to food pantries who serve our immediate local area.

We are committed to the fight against hunger. This effort is intended to inspire community involvement and recruitment to serve on the battlefield of change in America. Make a difference in someone’s life: make the world a better place in doing so.

FireProof Designs brings creative and effective designs as well as a FULL print solution alternative to the NorthWoods. Owned and operated locally, FireProof Designs has made its mark by offering new, modern, creative and easy to use artistic professional websites for those wanting more than the average design.

They are also a FULL print solutions company offering competitive pricing and impeccable quality.

FireProof Designs is a “out of the box” web design, graphic design and print solutions company. Located in Antigo, WI and are expanding the choices that locals now get when searching for a reliable web development and print solutions. FireProof Designs focuses on bringing a little bit of personality to each and every project they take.

There has only been little options in town for print and web design for so long, and we are here to offer a more affordable and artistic solution for both. We are proud to offer “Green” printing and work with some of the best companies in America to produce impeccable and unmatched work at incredible prices.

As far as web development, there seems to be no reliable creative designers in this area and local companies are often left to tackle this area of business by themselves. This task should not be left to the client or an inexperienced designer who uses boxy off the shelf designs to try and “brand” a business. Every business is unique and should be treated as such! We pride ourselves on working with each client to develop a one of a kind web presence and business solution. For those who want more than average, FireProof Designs is the solution for you!

About FireProof Designs:
Owned and operated by Jeremy Nycz, a 34 year old self-taught graphic designer with an eye for design. FireProof Designs was established in Oct of 2009 and has generated a following for those passionate about making their businesses stand out from the rest. Working with major real-estate companies to coffee shops to national hunting websites, we are raising the bar on how a web site should look and act.

When first impressions count, and quality is essential, dare to be different!

As the silence continues on the whole Principal/Coach Administrative Leave, it has me wondering, seriously, if no more information will be released.

I recall hearing absolutely NOTHING in the paper or media about a certain Antigo Police officer, whom no longer lives in Antigo, that supposedly had provided alcohol to underage persons, had been caught with marijuana, and had some connection to the Jammers firearm deal. For quite some time, it was believed that he had “transferred” to Green Bay, but, later, someone stated that he is no longer a Police officer of any kind. If that whole deal wasn’t a cover-up, I don’t know what is!

This deal with the Principal/Coach is suspicious for sure, and obviously there are a lot of questions to be answered. Enough attention was brought so that Sheriff Greening put a write-up in the Antigo Daily Journal, but, it almost seems as though that letter was a way to shut us up and let the cover-up begin or go on.

So, what do we as a community, need to do in order to find out what is really going on? It seems as though it may be a lost cause, which is really sickening, especially in this day and age…

ADJ Article from Sheriff Greening
